My understanding of the Hughes shoulder injury (dislocation?) Is that they always need surgery. Just a case of if you can rehab and strengthen it up to finish the season prior to surgery?

Therefore its never going to be 100% until the surgery. Similar to Luai in 2023 and cronk for the Roosters in what ever year that was. Which to me would make it super strange to play and risk him in a game that means nothing. Although my understanding of the injury might be incorrect.

It depends on the damage done to structural ligaments around it.
