The left edge attack without Shiba definitely appeared disjointed.
Mariner thinks he is still a winger. Anyone else notice how deep he is standing out the back of shape? I swear Mam or Walsh squared up the defence a few times and the pass to Mariner was 2m backwards instead of on the advantage line.

My personal opinion is that Madge fired a rocket to the playing group, but honestly expecting Shiba to start next week for Mariner. He was poor in most areas outside of our scramble D... which was fcking phenomenal across the board.

shiba won’t start I honestly think mariner is better at centre give him time shibs defence is terrible even In the grand final where his miss Nearly cost us the grand final

Not sure how that happens.
Winning sides rarely get changed barring an injured player returning.
It would mean dropping Anderson or Mariner which would go against what Madge has constantly said of players earning their spots.

We need new second rowers and we need them yesterday.

We need to figure out how tight to adjust it to his scalp. A bit like Justin Hodges hamstring strapping. This is sports science at its most intricate.

He needs a bit of a mental reset I think. We kind of saw it tonight, he was running the ball A LOT more than he has done in recent times. It ultimately wasn't very effective which is concerning. Half the time it feels like he is getting physically bullied when he takes the line on.

Amazing what our team can do when they hang onto the ball. Thought Mariner had a very ordinary first half but his speed let him do some try saving tackles in the second half that Shiba wouldn't have got to. Hope he keeps his spot.

What to do with Reynolds? We seem to play better with him out of the team and BHunt is a way better defender than Reynolds.

to be fair it took a while for hunt to take charge. 2nd half he directed. but a few others woke up as well. I think with piakura, Staggs and walsh and Patty waking Reyno may also have done well. As it stands though cannot disagree

He's a cat. By far most of his runs are at smaller opposition. Whenever he takes on big middles that can match him he folds up.
