It was Hunt from memory, caused them to drop the ball too, which I thought might have been acted on, but we got away with that.

We also got away with Cobbo putting his foot i
Yes, it was Hunt. Here it is.

It ended fairly benignly but it was clearly "above the horizontal."

Let's do it properly:

9. Paix - How good was that try! I saw that opening up as I am sure most of us did and I was so glad he took it. I don't know what the talk was about his defense, he is really strong at that. It wasn't really the game to be running a lot but he still needs to work on that. His defense is strong, so he needs to work now on his run selection - 7

14. Walters - Billy was good too, no I mean he was. He offers a lot because he is different to Paix. He plays smart and he has been choosing good times to run and pulled out a great shot - 8
Might need to send this upstairs.

I have seen that weird technique from him a cpl of times lately .
Lets them almost get past then grabs them by the ankles and lifts . Gonna lead to trouble if he keeps it up is my prediction .

Hunt ran more last night . Maybe because of conditions . Maybe realised he was becoming predictable .

Wow! Didn’t know that. I guess stats are what make the actual difference, so yeah, you’re right, he should’ve been motm. In fact, call it early, Dally M by a mile?!
Unless, you’ve been actually watching Broncos games, then you’d know Riki has been absolute dog shit since 2024. Awesome year in 23 and nothing since.
"absolute dog shit since 2024"
That's a bit of stretch champ....

Jordan Riki is cheap. We are getting amazing bang for our buck with him. I don’t understand the hate tbh. Because of him we can afford to keep both Patty and Payne. I’d take that every day of the week!
Not to mention he was the first of this group to commit to the club in our worst years. He believed in the club, the least we can do is give him ours.

He is well above average defensively and has the potential to be very damaging. At the moment he is safe both sides of the game.

Its been a weird start to the season, outside of Round 1 so far this year it feels very much like the boys are playing pretty conservative and well within their ability with and without the ball.

Madge seems to just be focusing on the boys making tackles and holding the ball, it's sort of hard to really get a grasp on how well we are actually going.
If we are focusing on defence and building into our season, I’m all for it.

We aren’t playing great, but we are banking up wins. These kinds of wins are invaluable around origin time.

I was thinking before that we are likely to lose Haas, Carrigan, Hunt, Cobbo and maybe Walsh.

If we are all healthy, we have pretty good cover for all with Te Kura, Tapau, Mam and Mariner to replace them all. If we lose Walsh as well, we are left a bit thin in the backs.

So by that logic, if a player picks up a loose ball and runs 90M and has another 60M run from a pass, that tells what story?!
Makes 30 tackles?
Same bloke also runs like he is scared to get hit and is as affective as a wet fart…
Still tells a story?

He was shit. However, JetSki was even worse. Don’t know, hard to tell… I do know that our back row is easily the weakest 2 positions in our team.
It’s only March but we already have the leading contender for worst take of the year.
