Probably not wear a broncos jersey and he would've been fine... you see the same from Paps all the time and gets praised for doing it.

The shine might come off the Hunt / Reyno partnership, or their might be an injury, or we just throw Hunt into 9 and have Paix/Walters off the bench.
Form, availability and combo's will see where we end up, but I'd seriously love to Walsh, Ezra, Reyno and Hunt as the starting spine for at least a few games. On paper, it just .... looks good!!

For the first week, I'd do a straight swap - Ezra for Billy - and bring him off the bench to replace Paix. Then it's a case of musical halves.
He goes to 6 when Hunt is on Origin duty, and then the music resumes.

I just don't get how people get names wrong of players in the team who play literally every single week (if fit).

I think he could but not for 80.
But if that's going to happen I'd still start him at centre, have Mariner on the bench and bring Mariner on late in the game and shuffle Gem to backrow.
Could even do start Gem swap with Mariner at half time then have him as cover for the back rowers and outside backs.
A fresh Mariner coming on against a tired defence would have more effect than Shiba off the bench.
Early on is when you want the metres out of the back field the most and Shiba has that over Mariner but late in the game is when Mariner comes alive.
