Given the fact that we now have the new interpretation of the ruck 6-again call, designed to increase the speed of the ruck, it becomes self-evident just how the best teams are trying to exploit it both offensively and defensively.
In defence, once the 6-again call is made, teams take their time peeling off the tackle to allow their line to reset.
In offence, your dummy half runs from marker.
Thats your cheat code right there to get more fatigue in your opposition.
So yes, we need more threat from dummy half. We need to put doubt into the defence to give our primary ball handlers more time on the ball.
Now the question is: why arent we doing it?
A) the cynic in me says we’d never be allowed to get away with it, and B) I honestly don’t think we’re smart enough to do it any longer than one set
