PRE-GAME Round 4 - Warriors vs Broncos

Lolohea will play fullback. Henry will likely go to right centre if Hurrell isn't fit.

Worries me TBH. Rookie kiwi speedsters frighten me as you can't do too much homework on them. One of them will go to the back I assume.

The rookie kiwi speedsters are the only ones you can regularly do homework on because their NYC games are played almost every week.

Fish is out indefinitely, still struggling with the shoulder injury that ended his season last year.

Fusitua is still a week away if reports are to be believed. Lolohea played right centre last game, he'll shift to fullback. If Hurrell is fit he'll take up his right centre position, otherwise I'd expect it to go to Ben Henry, as Ngani Laumape is also injured.

Encouraging that Tomkins is out. He's very effective at being the link man in their backline shifts. Without him, Johnson has to take more responsibility. Typically, I don't think he's nearly as effective without someone else shouldering some of the playmaking.

I think we can take them. We'll need to be more defensively sound than last week. Warriors won't flub the chances Cowboys did in the first half, and we cannot allow them to get out to a sizeable lead.

If we can play the percentages and muscle up defensively early on, I daresay we can frustrate them out of the game. They're great front runners, but shockingly soft when the ball doesn't bounce their way.

Wallace his really, really surprised me TBH. I was leaning towards Dodds previously because his defence, but Wallace's running game has improved out of sight and he is the clear frontrunner for the bench now.

Agreed, though I wouldn't lock him in just yet I'm keen to see where Wallace goes this season cause what he has shown at least in the past two games has been promising and what we look for in a prop.

I'm glad we aren't playing against the best player in the game this week. Would much prefer playing against Golden Boot winner, Shaun Johnson.

Huge I didn't realise you handed out awards?

But seriously, none of the awards in Rugby League have any credibility and haven't for a long time now.

Still, if there is one player who is going to win it for the Warriors, it will be SJ. He generally plays very well against the Broncos and has embarrassed us on a few occasions.

Bleh Lowrie. At least put Garbutt at 18.

And no Copley...

lowrie can only be there as a cover for someone in the backrow, you'd think? is there an issue with any of them?

it would make absolutely no sense to go up against hte warriors with a smaller then usual prop rotation.

Gillett went off late with a finger issue. Unsure if it has him in doubt?

I think Reed is only present because Copley is still having trouble
