Round 4 - Warriors vs Broncos

We could be converting more of this pressure into points but I'm happy the way the we are going. We are completing sets, putting pressure on the opposition, defending well and getting out of trouble efficiently. Keep up the good work there is still another half to go.

I thought Wallace was held up, but I'm happy it was given.

Wallace is starting to look a little bit like a starting first grade prop.. might be starting to put pressure on big Blair to step up his game.

Warriors were awful that half, and they got extremely unlucky on a few occasions, I think we should be up by more than 16 honestly, this game isn't over, there's no way they play anywhere near that bad in the second half.

Sure does. He's been fantastic for a relative rookie. Full of effort, strong running, strong defence.

I'm sure I've said this before but I don't rate Dodds at all, I hope Wallace is always picked ahead of him for now on.

We may even have a Wallace that @fourex can cheer on!
We don't want him to be too good but- Titans will offer him a squillion dollars.

Wallace will he making his SVRL debut for me next week, from the bench.

He is finally showing why the club has had wraps on him for so long.

I think it came close to being held up, but I think there was enough evidence to suggest it grazed the grass, I wouldn't have been upset if they called it no try though.

A 3 try lead should be defendable so I imagine we'll be kicking for goal any chance we get in the 2nd.

22/25 completions. 4 missed tackles and 3 errors. That's some good stats!

What worries me is that the Warriors are still making good ground whenever they've got the football, they've just struggled to complete their sets.

Broncos 66% possession.

That will swing in the second half.

I'm expecting a comeback, 16 points isn't enough.

I want the Broncos to be next to score a try or penalty goal, put a bit more doubt into the Warriors heads.

My impression of the first half was overwhelming discipline by the Broncos. Very tidy first half and well rewarded. The completions etc must be pretty good..

Yeah I'm encouraged by our attack, but got to say we have had all the possession as well, warriors will likely get more in second half and for that reason I would like us to get first blood in second half.

During the half time borefest.

Sterlo: The ball was dispossessed.

Matulino has the Warriors best forward metres with 39. Points to good defence in the middle by the Broncs.

We've been fortunate but I've got to give us credit too.

We could have lost our heads early when the Warriors were all bluster but we just rolled through our sets and picked out the Warriors deficiencies with some smart plays.

In a lot of ways it's a dream start.

But more so now than ever, the Broncos have to keep their foot on the accelerator.

Agreed that 16pts might not be enough. Hopefully we can show the same steel in defence as we did against the Sharks. Though it was concerning how easily Townsend got through our line.

Disappointed a lot by Adam Blair. It's almost like he had one good game last week and now he thinks he can rest on his laurels.
