Me too, problem is Gillett, Glenn, Parker are all 80 minute players and then you have Thaiday (who played prop anyway I think) who gets some minutes himself.I wouldn't mind seeing Joffa getting 25~ or so, at least give him some time to have a fair crack.
You might be right then! I just remember Macca being off for about 8 minutes for the test. I'm not too sure how they calculate minute stats anyway, whether they've got access to the substitution times and work it out that way or just count it themselves.I would have assumed Kodi's extra 8 minutes came from when Hodges came off. Both he and Macca were both on the field at the end (both were involved in the final try).
Milford is our best 6 since Locky. He's our best option at 6
Thats not really hard when your competing against an over-the-hill Prince, Norman, Hoffman, and Barba.
He's also our best option at fullback. (even when Boyd returns).
Disagree with that completely. Boyd is a Clive Churchill medalists winning fullback, Milford is a player with potential.
Also...
McCullough 60 minutes
Nikorima 28 minutes
If those stats don't add up, you're right, McCullough was off for a concussion test, which is where his 8 extra minutes come from, because it's not technically a substitution it still counts as minutes played for those wondering how that works.
Not far off an even split, a refreshing change from last year where Griffin was giving Granville what seemed like 10-15 minutes a game. Nikorima is definitely getting a fair go.
If I had to name our biggest improvement since Bennett has came it would have to be the use of our bench.
It was honestly pathetic before, Parker going off for 3-5 minutes, sub hooker getting 10-15 minutes, guys like Hala literally getting less than 10 minutes, it was absolutely awful.
Under Bennett I really have no complaints with how he's using the bench, I'm not screaming get him on/get him off.
For reference from today's game
14. Wallace 36 minutes
15. Joffa 19 minutes
16. Thaiday 55 minutes, Blair got 25, so it would seem Thaiday played at prop to cover injury today.
17. Niko 28 minutes
Yeah I agree with both points.I both agree, yet disagree, with your post. In general, Bennett is definitely using the bench better, however, he still took Parker off for small intervals off about 5 mins yesterday which I completely do not understand. Why take him off at all in the first place, and if you MUST take him off, why for such a short time. Seems a waste of interchange. I also feel he is underutilising McGuire. Barely saw him that second half.
Shit if that's the logic we're going to use to decide whos better, then why the hell did we release Barba ... Because Barba is a Dally M medalist.
Also won 2 premierships, is the highest try scorer for Queensland, played 200 first grade games 17 for Australia and 21 for Queensland.
My point is that none of that indicates who is the better fullback for the Broncos in 2015.
Yeah I agree with both points.
I don't understand why Parker is taken off for short periods (played 67 minutes total), I'm sure he's fit enough to play 80. Although if all pkay 80 I'm not sure Joffa gets a go, then again he played 19, so there's some shuffling of positions by the looks of it.
I also think McGuire is a 60 minute player, but *maybe* he's working on his fitness, we'll find out if he gets longer minutes later on. There's also this, if he isn't fully recovered I believe it's high risk to play long minutes so that might explain his lower minutes? http://m.couriermail.com.au/sport/n...g-an-origin-spot/story-fnp0lyn6-1227209532975
