I reckon we have not improved. It's about right to me if I'm being honest, we are nowhere near as good as we were in 2023. 2024 by now we were missing 7 or so starters including haas and reynolds..
I think this year the only difference is we have been far luckier with injuries and have had a full preseason..

We look far more structured in attack and more importantly defence. 2023 was all about individual efforts and a lightning in a bottle roster winning us games off sheer talent (Herbie and flegler in the team and in form along with Walsh and Mam playing brilliantly off a dominant pack).
I don’t think we let that gf lead slip with the way Madge has us defending, we are also getting used to a new spine combination so we’ll only get better barring injuries. Still have Mam to come back in ofc

Nowhere near as good as 2023?
We were average in early wins against the dragons, phins, and titans. We are on par with early 2023 and picking up wins even with the earlier loss.

Agreed. But you know what, aside from the Dogs and Storm, no one else actually looks any good anyway. The quality of the comp is at an all time low.

We've had some tough draws over the years as well. It all evens out. You take every advantage you can get in the NRL.

Loved the guy in the stands giving his two fingered opinion of the Tiger's try in that corner during the first half.
Also, Jetski took one hellva pummeling in that first half. Fair play to him for staying on the field.
Alexander kept calling Xman Piakura during the commentary, what a muppet.

Yeah that's a good point although I don't think our defence is better than in 2023. Our attack seems the same, relying on individuals to get us over the line which I'm fine with. Reece walsh has regressed immensely which is a concern because we have invested alot of cash in him. I still standby that our biggest problem in 2024 was injuries. Even with everyone back at the end of the year it's impossible to find fitness when half the team hasn't played together in months.

The stadium / media need to sort out who gets to be in the box next to the Bronx coaching staff .
The young lady throwing up the double bird when the cameras turned to Madge wasn`t very nice for prime time .
