POST GAME [Round 6, 2026] - Broncos vs Cowboys

I feel like we needed more from ezra tonight. Being the experienced half and all. Did a few good things but for a bloke that touts himself as a future halfback he needs a few more involvements. Duffy played a great game i thought. Second and third rate spine no hookers, pretty good contest I thought.

Gal is blasting the refereeing and the disruptor call.
Fox went through the controversial calls, didn’t mention the disruptor at all and decided the cowboys were robbed on 2 forward passes and the drinkwater penalty. Off the back of a completely objective call where Dan ginnane cheered on the cowboys for 80mins, including pretending like they weren’t playing against 12 men for 10mins.

The whole reason the disruptor call was made was because players were either faking out catchers thinking they were going to get tackled mid air flying past them or very close to the ball - or just jumping into the arms of catchers to stop them catching it (kind of like how Drinky's call worked out after he turned into the contest).

That's a disruptor, you're preventing a fair chance at a catch.

Being two meters away with your arms out is not stopping any attempt at a catch. The ball hit his hands and he lost it cold, then Shibs arrived. He didn't get in the way, didn't take out the arms, didn't threaten to tackle in the air... he was just... there... like any old defender.

They still don't get one of those "forward passes" was ruled knock-on - it slipped out of his hands as he attempted to pass and went straight to ground in front of him, just with some momentum on it to slide to his right.

This pezet signing with Duffy sitting there doing these things….he played without a real fb tonight.
Would of loved to see Walsh out there with Duffy tonight.
I think the Walsh/Duffy would be better than a Walsh/Pezet

I know I bang on about the officiating at times but that was blatant, right?

We literally were not allowed to play the same game as the Cows is how I see it.

Our defence was dog shit, no question. We still could have won that game and probably should have.

BUT should we have to fight against the man in the middle like that? At its core, isn't sport supposed to 'the best man wins'? The guy with the whistle is supposed to keep it a fair contest. Well idk about the rest of you but we had anything but tonight. And it happens more often than not, every week we are on the losing side of the penalty and 6-again count. Every. ****ing. Week.

I can't keep doing it, I can't keep watching manufactured results and feeling like it's all ok. I've been saying it for years but the administration of this game keeps pushing me, a lifelong fan, further away. Broncos games are something I look forward to. Watching my team, my tribe, go to war. But when the war is unevenly stacked, almost every ****ing time...it's not fair.

The competition has a salary cap to make things fair. The officiating now favours whatever is the current flavour. So why have the salary cap anymore? There is no longer evenness and fairness across the comp, so what is it that the salary cap is supposed to achieve?

The NSWRL can get absolutely ****ed. We won "your" comp again you ****wits, deal with it like adults instead of children. What do we need to do to get a fairly officiated game? Is consistency and fairness too much to ask for?

Absolutely ****ing ropeable right now. May not age well, do not care.

Left side d was horrendous. Ezra needed to step up and own the game, he didn’t.
We did well to somehow be in that game with the injuries/sin bin’s/HIA’s. They rolled out middle and in that first half just destroyed us.
In a perfect world we would be at full strength and have the ability to push Ezra and Shiba back to cup.
We might need renyo to be fast tracked into next week especially with our leader patty spending some time out.

Defensively poor but Klein ****ed us completely with how he policed the ruck. He's garbage. They laid all over us but we weren't afforded the same opportunity

I don't think we've been that great at winning the tackle and controlling the ruck for a while, we haven;t been allowed to.

The referee tip sheet clearly says to steam roll us into submission with set restarts early in the game. It's been standard practice ever since the first game with the set restart rule.

Before the tackle was even complete Klein is telling us to release.

That's the reason i pay for Kayo but watch most of our games on Nein. The Fox commentary is just one sided and diabolical. My big hope is that when V'Landys retires the 6 again rule goes into the dustbin of history.

That Mariner one would’ve been an easy one to give. First tackle, just outside the 20. And he still didn’t 😂
He would’ve had to bin him for a professional foul. It was an easy decision and the right one to make, but it would’ve almost certainly cost the cows the game so ofc Klein the coward didn’t have the minerals required

I would argue Neames was worse than Carrigans.
To be entirely impartial, Pat's was pretty bad. Rising, shoulder direct to the head, forceful. He'll do 2 weeks for that. Neames was head contact, but without the rising (as far as the very brief replay I saw anyway) so technically will be graded lower if my crude interpretation is correct.

Chester didn't even go off for a HIA.

There’s obviously an agenda going on against the club, the fact they went to the lengths of trying to troll the club over naming some cupboard after big dumb Gordie shows how obvious it is.
