Round 6 Discussion

WTF, is no one making tackles in this game?

Seems like the Dragons are the team to beat so far. Let’s see how well they’ll go once the pressure is really on them. They weren’t known as the ‘chokers’ without good reason a decade ago :pokeytongue:

I dunno of I'm judging them correctly, but I feel like they don't really have a lot of improvement in them. I feel like they might fall away late in the season.

That’s what I noticed about the Dragons post-Bennett; they show their entire game plan early in the season, chalk up impressive wins before opposition teams counter their plays and generally the Dragons themselves fading away.

Though it pains me to say but sometimes playing ‘boring’ football at the beginning of the season allows to really fire at the pointy end of the season.

A big turning point in the game was Holmes' no try. Fucked if I could see him touch that or his finger move.
Did anyone see his finger move?
Johns kept bleating about it then the bunker said exactly the same thing as him.
I know they're not supposed to hear the commentary but that was sus IMO.

I think I saw it too, but then it might have been some kind of mind control by Johns.

There may have been a finger but it certainly wasn’t conclusive and isn’t that the time.

It's a really, really bad sign for the culture at Red Hill.

Not really, i think it is because he isn't expected to be the game manager as much as he was here ... that responsibility falls on Widdop. this means Hunt can focus on his natural game and play to his strengths (game management is not one of them)

Hunt has actually been the game manager at the Dragons to take that pressure off Widdop..

And he is doing a pretty good job so far.

Really? That’s not how I have seen it.

Disagree. Hunt for mine has always been more of a running 5/8, as is Widdop....but Widdop knows how to manage a game as well.
