If you ignore the Broncos/Panthers game, it's actually shaping up to be a pretty good weekend of footy.

There's the two heavyweight clashes but there's also a lot of evenly poised teams. I'm even interested in the Souths/Wests game because the Tigers will have a real point to prove and Souths really didn't have to be all that good to beat Brisbane comfortably. I'm excited to see how Jake Simpkin goes. As Renegade pointed out, peter09 has a real wrap on him and from what I saw he was the stand out #9 of his generation. I first started taking note of him when he played for the Mustangs in 2018 when he was one of the few stand-outs they had. Even in a struggling team he managed to stand out. He then moved to Wynnum and was a major part of their grand final run before doing the same in Colts.

A barnstorming try from Oates is all I am asking tonight. He does that, I forgive all his past f***ups.
Even with the returning troops, don't think the Knights have enough class to overcome the Sharks.
I hope the Storm bury the Roosters, give em a cricket score if need be. Then hear the media cry 'poor Chooks'.
If Sea Eagles somehow transform into top tier because of Turbo's return, DCE is 'stealing money' just like Milford.
With that defence, I don't know how the Tigers have a chance. More misery and pain for Madge.
Raiders have been very injury/HIA prone during games this year, I sense an Eels ambush.
Warriors back to their wobbly ways again, Dragons will run riot.
Surely Cows to get back to back wins, just to leave us languishing at the bottom as 'QLD's shame'.

This is what tics me off, the bunker just intervened and said it was a Newcastle knock on which was pretty 50/50 to be honest but a blatant head high on Dearden is play on.

i dont think its an excuse, but i feel its just they have more time on a deadball type of play like that

Of course but I'm not even sure in this instance they got it right either.

Hand on ball, stupidest and most blatant manipulation rule in the game. Penrith held the ball every time we ran it last night but crickets.

Also, that try assist from Ponga was beautiful.

Rudolph just did a Staines from last night and cleared by the video ref, my gosh this game is screwed.

I'm kind of okay with that one. He jumped at the same time Ponga did, and was looking at the ball.

Easy strategy. Jump 3 seconds early to knock the fullback off the ball, play on.

I'm kind of okay with that one. He jumped at the same time Ponga did, and was looking at the ball.

He crashed into him 4 seconds before the ball came down.

Im shocked that they gave that given that Ponga is in the protected species category.

He crashed into him 4 seconds before the ball came down.
Ponga jumped too, so why couldn't you say he crashed into Rudolf 4 seconds before the ball came down?

I sure hope we are looking at signing Mann too.
