Bukowski pulled from Townsville.

I thought Rogers exceeded expectations at hooker last night .
He could throw softer passes to the runners . But he did good enough and was agressive with his defence .
I thought when he came on points would flow for the Cows . But no .
Done good Josh .

This situation shows exactly why it was a good call from the Broncos to re-sign Paix. You can see just how easily you can lose a couple of hookers and suddenly you're stretched very thin in the position.
Also, as great as Mozer is in attack he is still a liability in defence. He was getting pushed off in a lot of attempted tackles and seemed to really struggle to defend against the big middles.

Will need to really improve the defensive side of his game if he wants a full time career tackling big boppers every week.

Wow ! News flash .
Ever since Uncle Wayne and the Phins targeted him and his bung shoulder for two easy tries I have been on this rant .

Cam Smith didn`t only pull Jedi mind tricks on reffs . He was also a 5 star defender . Too many people think the game is only about when we have the ball .....

Last night I thought he was tackling intelligently until the one he stuffed up, he should have gone below the ball. All he did was defend the whole time he was out there and made 12 tackles in 10 minutes. Physically I think his defence has improved a lot this year. JT knocking you out one on one doesn't indicate much.

He also seemed to get everyone running on to the ball pretty well.

I didn't notice that when he was on... I thought he was making a clear intent to provide strong contact in defence... several times I noticed he was leading and driving with his shoulder way more than when I've watched him in Qcup where he's more of a catch and wrap tackler. The style he was trying last night was much more Cam Smith than his usual catch and wrap to concede post contact meters

It's why I think he threw everything into the Lolo tackle when he probably should've just gone the catch and wrap until help arrived.

He wanted to prove that his defence was up to it instead of making the smarter decision against someone the size of Lolo and how he was running all night... and it's cost him with injury again.

Carrigan facing two weeks or three if he fights and loses.
May as well fight it... it's either an extra week or just a fine... risk seems worth it to me... just check if Ivan is free Tuesday night

Arm was low
Feet were planted
Ball runner dropped his height
Chester didn't go off with a HIA

Patty himself thought he got him with the chest... which is Patty's normal tackling technique

I’d have to watch it again, but at the game it seemed like several times when he was tackling he was getting pushed off regularly by the forwards and as a result they were gaining extra PCM.

Idk how Patty got a 2-3 match ban for essentially standing still and Chester running headfirst into chest. 1-2 match ban would've been reasonable. But minimum 2 is wild.

It's because of the high shot charge in the raiders game last year... it gets carried through as priors/loading

I think even the players know that if they tighten up their defense we're in every game..

We haven't had much luck in the last few weeks either..

I would fight the grading.

Chester's body position lowered and so did Patty's. Precedent was set with Cleary and Burns.
He would lose. The MRC who graded it are not armchair experts.
