I watched the Thurston interview after the game. It sounds to me like he was implying that the refs are against the Cowboys..
Suck it up buttercup. Every team cops bad calls. It was definitely a bad call, but the great teams overcome the bad decisions..
Some teams cop worse calls than others. And very few teams are great, so to say great teams overcome them is a total cop out. We aren't talking about a missed forward pass (like Brett Stewart's in the lead up to the try that led to six again). This is a decision that went to video review and was ruled on in a way that totally contradicts previous interpretation. It's not like something that was obvious on review that was missed live -- it actually went upstairs. There's simply no excuse for that.
And frankly I don't blame Thurston for feeling that way. I doubt the referees are deliberating rubbing out the Cowboys but after tonight's call and the try off 7 tackles last year I certainly don't begrudge him for harboring those resentments.
