POST GAME [Round 8, 2024] Broncos vs Wests Tigers

After Reynolds, ezra and madden, the next man up would be rogers. I am not sure how he has been going at qcup.

I know sailor has the ball skils for a half and kevie would be tempted to try him, but his frontline defence is pretty terrible, and I would be prioritising defence, as we can get points from other players.
Is Rogers in our 30 or on a train and trial contract? Cause if its the other can't he only play later in the season?

Even the cats have jumped on the bandwagon Jack is a disgrace at the moment I can't even look at him Rosie on the other hand she is angel
Don't give up on Jack, he can still turn from the dark side.

Oates is not a backrower. He’s just pretending to be to get a game. Walsh doesn’t go down with cramps as often as you suggest.
Let's say every other game Walsh or another outside back goes down. Who's the forward you stick out there, and if Piakura, who replaces him? Kevvie figured this out weeks ago but went against it this week. It was a gamble.

In regards to Walsh, he does it almost every single game.
The last 10 minutes he is limping or stretching or puking.
I reckon he dumps a ton of adrenaline every game.
Bloke is running at such a high speed with amped up awareness, it's no wonder he pukes and cramps towards the end of games.

I don't know the guy at all or have any insight into the medical team, but I wonder if his diet is on point. Yeah you can 100% run yourself to vomiting exhaustion, I've done it before many times, but I personally found it happened more with a shitty diet than when I ate and trained properly. He seems to be cramping and throwing up most weeks - it's not like he's the only bloke in the NRL to be getting around the park like that.

It could've happened, but I don't recall the likes of Slater throwing up/cramping on the reg.

Yea I'm inclined to believe it's diet as well.
Too much pre-workout or something similar maybe.
Could be a combination of things.
I just know if you are amped as **** for 80 minutes, your body does some funky shit like puking and cramping.

Interesting in.any case.

Looked like Riki jumped into centre at one point... when he dragged old mate over the sideline

You been watching Walsh's kicks? It deadset sounds like he is booting the stuffing out of it. We are fine with him at 1 doing what he does as basically the best player in the game. His kicks go miles, massive boot on him.
Yes, his boot is underrated. Could also be having an impact on his cramps.

Yeah it's an exaggeration to suggest Walsh does nearly every game, this was the worst by far, but it's not week in and week out.
It happened more last year. But here we are again.

You often see professional mma fighters and boxers puking both before and after a fight.
Nerves and adrenaline can wreck your guts.
Walsh plays at a pace that is almost unmatched in the nrl and I struggle to think of another player that plays at his pace.
You have to be tweaked hard to function at that speed, let alone for 80 minutes and its going to have side effects.
Not just talking about physical pace either, but mental alertness as well.

I think both Riki and Piakura have the energy levels and pace to fill in at centre but we have no cover for them either. If that's the plan, then it's Hunt vs Oates on the bench.

It's what I said earlier: no one expects an 80 minute machine at hooker like Macca or Turpin. But in terms of energy output, Walsh burns at full flame every time he gets near the ball. I would argue he needs resting more than our 9. But, under current rules, our bench wouldn't support that.

When I was swimming at national trials, one of my squad mates would spew before every race. The more he spewed the quicker he raced. Granted we were swimming 100s and 200s ha. Langer had a vom or 8 before games too.

I'm sure the club's dietician and nutritionists are working on it, but his spewing does concern me a bit. Except the time that he nearly vomited on the Raiders bench, that was fun

I was wondering the same thing because he always nails every single kick he does and like everything else he does, the kicks are at 100 miles an hour.
