POST GAME [Round 8, 2026] - Broncos vs Bulldogs

Lots of positives. Great to Semu debut well. Perham safer than a bank vault. Willison showing once again how good he is with big minutes.

Jetski is still rubbish. Didn't dent the line, fell off tackles in defense.
Rogers isn't a hooker.

Kevvie sitting on the panel squirming uncomfortable when the panel talk about the broncos defence being unbelievable since the storm game (aka the teo "controversial" sacking). Didn't walters crow from the roof tops that teo was his hire and he wouldn't have left if he was still the coach lol
Kevvie seems happy for the boys in the squad but definitely salty now that he slowly realizes there run of bad form was largely due to his poor processes, tactics and coaching.

Willison has been a freak without haas and carrigan wow. Reynolds masterclass kicking game again, Mam with some errors but is deadly with those cut out passes to karapani. Jordan riki most improved for 2026 imo. Staggs dominanting opposite centre seems to be the current trend every week. Hayze safe as houses under the highball and made some really solid runs, should be number one candidate for replacement whenever Walsh is out. Shiba finally found his ground again this game. Teams looking really bloody good, back to back here we come
100% Im not worried at all at Haas leaving, sure it sucks because he is an absolute weapon, but we have him more than covered. His money free'd up isnt bad either.

Yvonne- “Broncos got all the rub of the green on the night & Bulldogs had to suffer a big blow in Kikau going down & an unlucky sinbin in the 1st half. The Bulldogs played with lot of courage
Surely you jest?

Staggs was coming to that age where he needed to step up that extra gear. Not saying he wasn't a real good player but I always felt he has had more potential and this season I feel he has done so especially defensively where he lifts the team and provides game changing tackles.

I don't reckon Galvin is bad, he is quite good, just not as good as Gus claims he is.

I didn’t watch this game so can’t comment on it, but just generally Galvin isn’t necessarily bad, but he’s also not good.

He seems to have convinced a small group that he’s good because he’s a young, on-the-ball classic 7 who constantly wants possession and to have control at all times to dictate. That’s very rare nowadays, especially for a young half.

But that’s only half the equation, it’s good to constantly want the ball and step up in pressure moments but you need to actually do something with it too.

These teams structure their entire attack around everything running through Galvin, which is what he wants and would be great if he was some exceptional talent, but he’s just not. He’s average at best.

Means that the entire attacking structure is routed through a lame duck who can’t do anything with all the ball he’s being given. The overhype is insane.
