I don't think he's under pressure just yet.

Dogs defence is usually strong... although it's been a bit weak this year... but the players seem to have bought into the culture he's trying to set.

I think the decision will be coming on the halves though... they're trying to grind out and manage games with two running 6's.

Galvin is a left sided, bigger body running five eight... and he's currently out there doing the majority of the kicking and trying to learn how to manage his edge and ballplay more than run.

I think Burton will be the one that is given a tap on the shoulder to bring that young half in... Burton's contract is up end of 2027 and I think there would be a ton of suitors in Sydney.

Yeah, I think Talty is great when we have a little bit of go forward already and he comes onto good ball he can be damaging. Coming up against the first-choice middles for the dogs though he did get a bit man-handled. BUT, he didn't drop the pill! Normally when a forward is a bit out muscled they cough it up in a 3v1 and he did bloody brilliant in that regard.

We always knew our middles were never going to out perform theirs in a meters game, but we were tough and gallant in defense, respected the ball and we won comfortably off the back of it.

That, and Galvin is an absolute hack - Sexton is twice the player, how he lost out of that is beyond me.

Hes among our most important i think. I know that sounds crazy but hear me out. He fixed up our left edge defence, and he has those great half break runs with his hard hitting run at speed with late footwork. Finds his front and gets a quick ptb.

We just have no one who can replace him at all.

Preston riki might have earnt the edge spot tonight (p riki is a better middle then gos and junt but i prefer gos in the middle for 15-20 mins rather then an edge for 60+ by a lomg way, and i prefer j hunt with zero minutes.)

Madge has form though of picking known quantities and you can almost bank on Jetski being there next week.
