You reckon someone from Fox told him to shorten his commentary a little? Or maybe he just drones when it's a Melbourne or Roosters game.

100% someone has been in his ear.
It would have been very professional, maybe Vossy or one of the other long term commentators telling him to dial it back a notch.

Yea it really highlights our deficiency's when you see other teams execute even the most simple grass roots level footy.

We still don’t do the most basic of things as in running into the ball, I still don’t think we’re fit enough. Do we still have the same strength and conditioning coach as last year? The only guy who looks fit in our team is haas

Cummins is dead set rorting this game... ridiculous dangerous tackle to give souths a penalty, a penalty for souths falling over in the ruck on 4th tackle... and now CHN getting up to play it with 3 souths players on the ground and he calls him back to play it on the mark.

He had souths players hanging off his leg which threw him off balance when playing it.... but it would've had Souths in all sorts of trouble so Cummins pulls him back to slow the play the ball down to a crawl.

Sebastian Kris looks like a decent player. I'd be making enquiries, he's third choice centre there but he really looks like he should be first choice to me.

It feels like a repeat of last week's Canberra game where they established a commanding lead just to give a try away right before half-time. Souths have been out of sorts playing very loose football but if they can overcome the loss of Murray they should have too many points for the Raiders.

For the Raiders to win, they just need to keep turning the ball in and get the Souths forwards to ball-watch for a moment. If they can get Harawira-Naera to link up with Wighton that will be the play.

If only Bateman was playing he'd have the exact line they need to break this game wide open.

Emergence of Starling and Hodgson having a "calf" injury could present an opportunity for Raiders to offload

The Hodgson injury seems out of the blue and may be a suggestion that he's on the outer with Ricky

I'm not completely sold on Hodgson as he's had a couple injuries, but he's a top quality hooker

I heard him shout "milking" at Souths in each of their previous sets.
Then he penalizes Canberra when Souths keep flopping.
Need to penalize these dudes who take a dive more often, don't want this turning into soccer.
