The kick on zero tackle was NEVER on, I couldn’t believe he did it. That set the tone for the game because from there they did the short kick off (have we ever won one of those) and the rest is history. After that everytime Reece had the ball he tried to dummy out and pass inside and either dropped it or threw it to no one. There was one play where we had a 3-1 Reece out the back screaming for the ball and I think it was Walters dummied to him And passed flat. Walsh was livid, and I think gets more frantic after that. That dummy was a bombed try for sure, hopefully they look at that in the video.

The bloke beside us at the game kept talking to his mate about how there is NO aggression in our pack, no one goes out looking to dominate and intimidate: I think the only one is Hetherington and he needs help.

Crichton was outstanding and gave Riki a master class on how to play the back row position. Not since Matt Gillett have we had a guy play that position using his body/running lines/footy IQ to lift his team to a win.

Fletcher Baker getting a lot of love here, but watching it live I came away with the opinion he needs to be shot into the sun. What a potato. He was mowed over the top of by 2 back to back tries, the first one was Connor Watson half his size which sealed our loss and the 2nd one he was isolated by the roosters front rower and destroyed. It was embarrassing to watch. Bye Felicia.

I thought it was funny how Keary tried the big "trick play" short dropout. Let's be honest, you could kick it straight down the guts, you're getting it back, we never win those.

Watch Piakura more closely in future .
He got Trevor Gillmeisters vote of approval last week . He is capable of hurting runners . Snashed a few blokes since he has come back .

You over looked the 2 try savers he made before that ?
He was gassed later in the game . Walsh heading to the open side as soon as the ball was played , left Baker on his own against May . Who do you reckon could have stopped May in that situation ? Payne / Patty / Corey ? Maybe but I doubt it .

Brendan does hit hard, but aggression is a different thing. Tallis hit hard and Tallis was aggressive with it as well. I dont think Piakiura is aggressive, but he does hit like a truck. Hetherington is the same. If i was playing against either i dont think i'd be intimidated at all by them.

Hard to follow live and have only watched the mini replay. Walsh was 100% to blame for that loss but geeze I just didn’t rate Baker. He was underwhelming from where I was sitting.

What else can they do these days ?
Shirt grabs and mean words ?

Sprint out of the line = suspension . Smack a guy in the chops = sin bin and suspension . Hit him late SB +susp . Lifting tackle ditto .

Best you can do is come outside in blindside the guy and hit him in the ribs ah la Hetherington and Piakura .

I noted Bakers trysavers and thought of the haters at BHQ . UH HUH !
Then I saw him get gassed and let in 2 tries and thought of the haters at BHQ again.... LOL .

Aggression isnt all about defence, and its not about late shots. Apart from Willison, and possibly Carrigan, not one of our forwards run with any physicality or intent. I dont think tbh any of our forwards strike any fear at all into the opposition if we are talking about aggresion. People would think twice about running at Thorn or Carroll for example. Nobody is scared to run at these blokes.

Yeah but he is he gassed! That’s a red flag right there. He wants to be an NRL player, you just can’t have those lapses.

And I’m not a hater, haven’t said anything against the bloke until tonight.

Post Vegas game, the game I was looking forward for is the game against Rotters @Suncorp. Added to my eagerness, when Kev announced our full squad on Teamlist Tuesday, I was so pumped. But boy, it all quickly deflated in the opening few minutes for mine.

Something wasn’t right with our guys. Were they not fully fit & healthy?
Are they starting to believe in the hype train?

Last nights defensive efforts were abysmal. Agreed that Adam & Arthurs had to come off & Mariner was in the bin but there quite a few soft efforts in our defence which all lead to Rotters scoring opportunities. Free cheap meters & plenty of offloads were allowed which killed us completely.
Our defence must improve drastically.
At some stage it looked like our guys are playing touch footy & totally forgot about any sort of ‘tackling’.

Gutted for injuries, gutted for the loss.

The time have come early for Jock to own the team from now. We’re good.
No more injuries PLEASE!

The other thing frustrating me with short drop outs is that teams are executing them perfectly against us

Have seen so many in other games where they try to go short and kick it 25m for an uncontested catch.

Every kick against us is right on the 10m line in a crowded catching area.

Teams know we're susceptible to it and maybe they focus harder on the execution than they would for other teams.

Either way it was a stupid kick from Walsh given how crap we are defusing them

Think we were playing a bit too emotional - turned into frustration in the second half. Even Patty at one point was tilted behind the posts yelling at the trainer.

So frustrating that we are playing without patience - if we played the grind we have enough attacking class to beat any team. There’s no need to be playing with so much risk

It was definitely a trait of Broncos packs of old... early kick to the corner to turn them around and then lightning line speed and bashing them inside their 10-20m

Problem is, if you are seen as aggressive these days you automatically become a penalty/sin bin magnet. Better off working together in packs like Penrith do to dominate in defense. Game has moved on from the hitman unfortunately.

The crazy thing is that even without Reynolds and Arthars, it looked like we were going to run over the top of them at 18 all. That sin bin and Mam HIA ended any chance we had of winning.

Obviously we need to be less erratic and be more patient, but I think we are still looking like a top 2 team in the league, even without Reynolds. Every time that Reynold hasn't played this season, Mam has stepped up and I am looking forward to seeing what he and Madden can do over an extended period.
