Refs when they apply for the job should have to be screened and banned from officiating the team they support. I don’t think there’s some huge ref conspiracy going on but the mrc and judiciary are another matter completely. That gee ****wit needs to be banned, he’s the only ref I’m suss on.

Sure the stats, results and controversies indicate that we should be concerned about certain refs with certain teams, and that the mrc/committee is a bit one sided regarding having ex players from just a few clubs, but people on here have assured me theres nothing suspect going on. I mean, if I was a ref and supported a certain team or got threatened by another teams fans, or my wife worked for a club, or lived in a certain area, or i played for a certain club, or i coached at a certain club, or I just generally hated some players/staff there'd be no ounce of bias as well im sure. We are all just never happy conspiracy theorists....

I’m actually on the side of there’s no big conspiracy going on…….with the refs. That gee ****wit has me swallowing my tongue atm. He should go and **** himself with a broken beer bottle at this point. He is very obviously biased.

I dont think theres some big conspiracy either. What there is is bias, huge amounts of it. And instead of acknowledging it and decreasing the risk of it happening/safeguarding against it people just call it a conspiracy to write off simple fixes (eg reps from each clubs, certain refs not reffing certain clubs, no further punishment for arguing a suspension, not having club execs working in the media, and 1000's of other options people off the street not getting paid $100,000s could come up with)
 
They all probably just get drilled into them pre-game a tip sheet about the teams they are reffing that weekend, and struggle to see other shit as thats all they are focused on looking for. Then even when the thing they are tipped on may not be as bad as usual, they are hyper focused on it and know this team has history with 'this' so I need to action on it.

Superstars get off every.single.time. The judiciary and mrc are dirty as ****………the refs not as bad.
 
The fact that cheat sheets are a thing, the existence of penalty quotas means they're looking for things that aren't there. No doubt it says "Brisbane Broncos hold teams down to stop momentum" and refs penalize anything that looks like it. It hardly creates a fair game because it creates a bias immediately.

Even when that same team has slower ruck speed than their opposition every single week. Oh and we should probably discuss how teams give numerous penalties away for something one week, but somehow become perfect against us specifically, then the next week start being penalized for the same thing again. Nothing sus though..

Funny thing I have noticed about rugby league .
If you run harder than the opposition and the opposition aren`t as good at tackling . The team who runs harder get faster play the ball speed .

Yes, usually the team who runs harder and faster, Haas, Carrigan, Willison, etc. would get a faster play the ball than the far inferior forwards of the Tigers and Titans, yet we still get slower play the balls against those teams too. Weird. Explain that one, champ?

Hey guys, we have it here 1st. The PREMIERS are shit at tackling. We are all just paranoid, despite the stats and objective data provided and severe lack of objective rebuttal. Add to this opposition fans also stating the same, we are the paranoid ones. Great argument. Trump-esque some would say.
