Well done Patrick. Sign of things to come in 25.

Hasn’t even played a game yet and already played of the year, wow.
Hehe 2024. English website that promotes Super League and NRL conducted a poll during the year between players of both leagues and our Patty came out on top. Understand it finished up a vote between him and Wigan Warriors Bevan French.

low key surprised that no NRL club hasn't taken French, he never got to show what he was made of in his early career in NRL as he played most at wing and a short stint at Fullback but what I have seen at him at 6 is insane.

Agreed - he’s an older, more mature and more composed Mam.

It's not even like is old, he just turned 28 and is a Half, a position that has the most age longevity in the game sure alot of his game is based on speed but alot of the rest of his game is based on his passing ability and short kicking too.

He could easily be a star player for several NRL teams atm imo, ideal for teams like Titans, Knights, Dragons and Roosters, infact him being at Roosters would probably be a top 4 team right away.

Crazy to think though he is already eligible for England since he has lived there for over 5 years now and can get full citizenship, I think England would be mad to not try push him towards the national team.

They do have Lomax though and he’s also pretty good. But yeah Mikey Lewis should be their 7 moving forward and French would compliment him perfectly.

I think its purely defence why nobody will take a risk on him. A bit like Jai Field, they are both great playing for a dominant, attacking team. Stick either in the Dragons or the Titans where they will get tested and i think you would see them getting found out.

I think they could shine if they find the right club, but if they do what somebody like Will Pryce has done for example and end up at a team that cant fit them in where they are best best i think they would struggle. I always thought Pryce would suffer going to Newcastle after they decided not to move Ponga and its played out for him exactly how i thought it would. He's not a 6, not yet anyway and he's probably better just moving back to Superleague and rebuilding himself.

Definitely helps not going to a club with a spud as a coach. No one should go to Newcastle while O’Brien is coaching there.
