After reading in the Courier Mail yesterday that the NRL has signed a deal with SPIKE TV in the USA to show the NRL Finals this year i decided to check the Spike TV website and see what it says

The NRL is Australia's premier rugby league and routinely attracts 80,000 fans to its Grand Final (their Super Bowl), which will be broadcast on Spike October 4 at 11am ET/PT. This may be their version of football, but there are no pansy pads or stop and go bulls***. This is hurry-up the whole way through, so move over T.O. There's no crying in Rugby!

What do you expect? There are two nations that can help them, and England gives them nothing, and all Aussie teams can do is go there once in the last 15 years, and give them "sister" team status.

I linked a NRL big hits package on an American forum I post on, after gently bagging the yanks for wearing all that body armour. The only response I got was, "lol, nice short shorts there, homo." Fair cop I thought.
