I've been a huge critic of his, but **** me, he's been killing it for the last few weeks. Like, we all thought he was good for a while last year, but this is an even bigger resurgence. Hope he keeps it up! :takdir:

Vintage stuff from the big boy! It's got to do with playing him in the second row for mine. He's not a prop.

Slammin' Sam is firing indeed, on and off the field. What a character

I've always thought the left was his best position.

Back when Bennett was coach before he left Thaiday was on the left and Parker was on the right. Thaiday was a beast there.

We've wasted some of Thaiday's prime years by forcing him into the front row. At least he's back to a position he enjoys playing, and you can see its infectious for the rest of the team when Thaiday is playing well. The backrow is definitely his position and its somewhere he can contribute the best for the team. He is far too talented to be used as a battering ram against players bigger than him. Thaiday also has very underrated defence. He's one of the few who still has good tackle technique and can chop much bigger blokes one on one. Even when people thought he wasn't playing well, he was still making upwards of 30 tackles a game.

I don't think it's any coincidence that the Broncos and Sammy's form have come right at the same time.

Yup he's been outstanding and for mine it's because he's back in his rightful spot - the left edge. He's got a bit of footwork, he's reasonably fast for a bigger lad, he can play big minutes and he's no prop - he's been wasted there. I feel for Alex Glenn, he didn't do badly there, but he's a benchie with a fit Thaiday and Gillett. He's doing well off the bench too, and brings a bit of experience and energy when he comes on, so I think it balances out really well.

100%. And Glenn = better than Nic of the bench when all fit with the current squad.

pretty surprised at this but my oath.. and would be more so to see the team and salary cap auditors allow it to continue over a longer period, but his explosiveness off the bench is reminiscent of (a poor mans) Teo.. but with the desperately needed experience the younger blokes lack (and reliability the Titans will soon find out Wallace will almost certainly never attain!). an ingredient me thinks could prove vital come the October long weekend

as has been said, cant help but think we wont be seeing this Nikorima iteration again (for a few years at least...)

and yeah.. credit to slammin Sam, kinda sad the club found its way into a position where we basically needed him at prop.. a waste indeed. thank christ signs of turning it around

I think this is the best I've ever seen Sam play. Seems he's now putting in 100% every game. The negative out of it though is why hasn't he always played like this. Anyways, Enjoy it while it's happening...His form has seemed to help life everyone else!

I think a lot of players just got comfortable with Henjak and Griffin, they knew they were safe regardless. And there were reports that players just didn't want to play for Henjak.

Although, there were times during the Henjak era where he was actually very good. One of the best backrowers in the game.

But he was better when Bennett was at the club and playing on that left side.

I'm expecting another big game from him tonight.

Old mate's final regular season game. He'll want to make sure he goes out a winner.

Thaiday to 11 and Glenn off the bench is a fucking masterstroke from Bennett.

Need to take the mistakes out of TPJ and we've got a pretty smokin bench.
