Yeah Jhye, Boland and Neser is a gun 2nd string attack. Hopefully all are fit and on the Ashes tour next year.

SA also has some ridiculous fast bowling depth too. Their four front line quicks are as good as Australia’s. Rabada is one of the best in the world and then Ngidi and Jensen are not far behind. Nortje will be a handful on Australian pitches with his express pace too.

I really hope Scotty is picked, it seems he is easily in Australia’s best 3 quicks now, even though it will be hard to unseat one of Cummins, Hazlewood or Starc and fair enough.

Could Neser unseat Green? Green is very sadly looking well off his best at present.

I was worried about Green the second he made it known he would be putting his name down for the IPL. The scheduling of it this year just makes no sense for any of our starting test team to be in the IPL, the single biggest tour as an Australian is happening right after the IPL (that being us playing England, in England).

He will go for a large figure purely because his most impactful performances to date have been in India but if the people who make the decisions were to look at what he has done in white ball cricket outside of those couple of cameo innings at the top of the order, they might be adjusting their bid a touch.
