Sione Faumuina

What could have been, I wonder how different things would have been if Faumuina had have joined the Broncos in 2007.

If you had the pleasure of watching Faumuina in 2003, you would have seen one of the best ball-players in Rugby League. He was one of the most talented players in the game, unfortunately alcohol got the better of him and he never had the benefit of playing at a professional organization.

If Faumuina addressed his off-field issues, he would have made a welcome addition to the side. Brisbane struggled for creativity that season, relying far too heavily on the brilliance of Darren Lockyer to score points. With Faumuina on board, it could have made Lockyer's job easier.

Nice to hear that Faumuina's doing better and I'm looking forward to seeing him go round with the Tigers.

If it wasn't for that crazy pass back in 2003 I would've completely forgotten about him.

Sione was more than just that pass. Faumuina was one of the form players of 2003, stepping up when the little general went down, enabling the Warriors to make it deep into the finals.

Sadly he's not the only player who's potential wasn't realised at the Warriors.

Hopefully Kearney will stop the rot.

I've met Sione, great bloke. His younger brother was one of my best mates at school.. He was also a handy footy player, plays Union now though.

Sione could have had a second crack at the Broncos in 2011- he signed with Dolphins and then never played a game
