SPOILER ALERT!!! Broncos Vs. Warriors - Match Thread

Funny how well we were going not too long ago. I wonder what happened. There must be a reason for such a complete change.

Was the effort not there?

Nevermind, we'll flog the Raiders next week. Ivan will lift the team with a few more tactical positional changes.

We must consult with RBY and his tea leaves.

I do not know why I just spent two hours watching that.

Worst performance of the season IMO.

i'd like to laugh at they guy who put a $20k bet that there would be NO 40/20 kicks at $1.22 only to lose tha money after 7 mins.

the scoreline could have been very different if we had capitalized on some of the line breaks we made in the second half.

I'll say it for the 3rd week in a row, Brisbane's season died in the ass after that loss to the Eels.
Simple as that.

I know we're all hurting and pissed off, but what can WE do?
We can't have pride in our fucking jersey until our players have some pride in it!

Lockyer or no Lockyer, I could really care less about the Raiders game.

That is now exactly the description of a bandwagoner... [icon_thumbs_do

Lol, most of you people are going over the top a bit, this year our average age of the squad is around 21 the youngest in the league, which obviously was going to be a rebuilding year.

For the team to be contending and having a shot of making the 8, im really excited and proud of how the team has performed, most other teams who are rebuilding usually find themselves battling for the wooden spoon

We have a team of future stars, Hoffman, Glenn, Yoh Yeh, McCullough, Gllett, Dodds & to add Thiaday, Teo,Hodges, Inglis & locky next year, im really excited not for just next year but 5 + years.

So lets go out next week and support these kids, we have something special brewing.

While that is all well and good and I agree with your sentiments, it doesn't cure the obvious crippling problem of how we replace Lockyer. The kids we have are good but at this stage our halves options look very concerning for the future especially Peter Wallace at least Hunt and Norman have the excuse of being kids.

The make-up of the team was stupid.

Why was Thaiday playing in the middle 3rd when he's been dominating on the fringe all year? Pretty silly to change something that had been working well all year.
Starting Gillett wasn't a good choice because the massive Warriors pack dominated from the get go.

Yow Yeh should be cut next week, it's do or die and he has no confidence at the moment and we need players firing.

And what does Alex Glenn bring to the team? Does he have a role next year, because imo Hodges and Inglis are the centres and Gillett has more to his game as a bench player.

They played like the Cowboys, but hey odds on we can put 50 on Canberra next week? _woohoo_

Do die next week? It's been f'**king do or die for the last 4 weeks.

Apart from which, the problem is in the bloody middle not the wings.

As for Gillet, his only place next year is lock. He is the next TUNZA +++++. Talk about attacking options around the scrum base, out wide + defensive sting.

In fact, that's where he should be NOW, except for the sentimentality about Parker. Honestly, who would you rather have for both attacking potential and defence at lock, particularly around the scrum base - Gillett or Parker?

Can one honestly say that a back row of Thaiday + T'eo + Gilett can be surpassed?

If Parker plays, and I'm sure he will, then next year bench T'eo for impact, and Glenn for utility.

I never thought I'd see the day when a Bronco team would fail to make the finals.
Sad day. Like everybody else I suppose, but I expected a hellava lot more. [icon_thumbs_do

Yow Yeh has been very inconsistent.

One week he'll play a blinder, the next he'll make some mistakes.

The only real concern I have about him is his defence. He seems to struggle to read opposition plays.

He's a very talented fella, so I think we should persist with him. He'll improve greatly with experience.

He does struggle to read plays, but he also struggles to tackle and put his body in front of an attacker.

Saw some footage on Fox sports from last nights game.

All I've got to say is that it's a CRIME that Folau is going to be wasted in the AFL. **** the GWS!
