Stacey Jones

Hilarious to think some people on this forum were saying how crap Kemp was at the start of the year.

The word "most" is more appropriate than "some" [icon_thumbs_do

i reckon with jones there, this could rocket witt into calculations for a bench utility spot for qld next year.

Michael Witt in an Origin jersey [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1.

I hope you're joking QUEENSLANDER

If Witt could actually tackle he would have a slim hope if a bunch of guys got hurt in front of him.

Witt will be hard pressed getting into the 17 for first grade next year.

I don't get the Witt bagging. Did he not have his best season in 08 or am I imagining it?

He did, but only by his own standards. Nowhere near good enough for Origin.

The way I see it, barring injuries considering we are 7 months out (lolz), there is only one bench spot for a utility.

Witt or Hunt.

I still take Hunt.

True, I was more talking about the Warriors releasing him.

Oh I hope they wouldn't do that! I'm sure they won't... he has come along in leaps and bounds over there.

I honestly think it all comes down to guidance. I can't see Jones being there for more than one year, and Witt and Rovelli are both still pretty young and a bit green. IMO it will steady the ship a little and improve both players out of sight.

Definitely agree that Witt isn't anywhere near ready for origin, but I rate him higher than the halfbacks at many NRL clubs.

I suspect the Warriors are putting their halves hopes in the development of Isaac John, Liam Foran and Joel Moon, and to a lesser degree Aaron Heremaia. With Stacey Jones and possibly Nathan Fein hanging around for a season or two for their experience.
Witt had moments of brilliance during the 08 season, but is horribly inconsistent. I think, like every club Witt has played for, we will get sick of waiting for him to come right. Rovelli should hang around as a back up half and bench hooker. Great running game - no playmaking vision.

Warriors definete top 4 material next year, and if you check the odds at the TAB I'd be pretty sure they are still paying well, I'd put a ten'r on them now for a nice return!

They must be desperate to release on or two of their halves now, no team wants that many cap dollars tied up in halves that will probebly be relegated to reserve grade.

A team like the panthers would be wise to make a nice offer on Witt they could really do with an experianced half back next year. Canberra probebly have a nice stash of cash aside still after Carney left as well.
