I tell ya what.

Stagg has found another level at the Bulldogs..

Last nice for instance..

David Stagg
102 metres gained
3 offloads
6 hit ups
43 tackles
1 missed tackle
1 line break
1 try

Setup the last try too. I always felt he was a value to any team but he's picked it up another notch so I hope it continues for him this season.

We don't need another thread for this, I already mentioned his stats, and it was discussed in another thread.
Anyway, who am I to say what threads should be made :P

I'll remember next time to hunt through every thread before posting.. . . . . . . ... .. . . . . . .

Was only joking dude, don't take it personally.

I think it was more than fair enough for broncospwn to call mal out, whether he was joking or not.

Mal, anyone with half a brain would have checked the Bulldogs vs. Panthers thread before starting a new one.

A lot of you blokes are embarrassing yourselves when replying to broncospwn.
I don't think I've agreed with a single thing he's said on this board, but the bullshit (and at times, racist) responses I've seen towards him are pathetic and could be seen as bullying.

Grow up.

You see.. This isn't about Bulldogs v Penrith. I wanted to discuss the talents of Stagg considering the amount of bashing he got last year.

Don't really think it's ideal opening up my thread looking for a reply and seeing broncospwn blabber on about duplicate threads. If you want to post about Staggy, then do so.. otherwise read some other threads. Amazes me.. still 4 posts in and not one about the topic.

My reply to broncospwn was a '**** off, if it's a duplicate thread the mods will deal with it.. otherwise discuss Stagg."

So if we could... talk about Stagg...

OK, I'll just repeat what Hammo basically said in the other thread then.

The sky is not falling. That's Stagg's first offensive effort that I've ever been impressed with. I don't miss him to be honest.

Very happy for Stagg - a bloke who tried his heart out for the Broncos every time he pulled on the jersey. For mine he did the same sort of job for us that Dallas Johnson does for the Storm yet was continually bagged for his performance. Every team needs a player like Stagg and the style of football the Dogs are playing this year (keep it alive at all times) suits a bloke who just runs and backs up all game.

Good on you Staggy - success earnt the hard way and well deserved!

I second this post.

Exactly, who are you to say what threads should be made?? If the Admins have a problem with threads for whatever reason, they will deal with it.

Yes, well done Staggy. It's good to see him play well even if it's not the Broncos.

Fact is, he may not have been able to replicate those performances even if he was here. He would have been fighting it out with Parker, Sims, Teo, Setu, Thaiday and Glenn for a bench or backrow spot. He may not have been able to get a start with that line up and wouldn't have been able to show what he can do. Plus he's getting more cash down there so kudos for making the right move.

I take Glenn over Stagg in a heartbeat. Glenn hurt guys in defense and bent defenders backwards with the ball in hand both rounds so far, outside of this one game I don't remember Stagg doing either of those things (and Glenn as I see it would be the guy that would lose his spot if Stagg was still a Bronco).

Agreed mate I just think it is great that he has kicked on at the Bulldogs. He never did wrong by the club and put his heart and soul into the place. Great result for both parties - Staggy is at a club which looks to be set for a big year and we have uncovered a major talent in Glenn to take on the role he once filled for us.

I am just happy that the Broncos who left the club all seem to be going well early in the season. Shatters me to think of poor Petero trying his guts out for a club going backwards

Stagg may simply be another Tate. Out of the familiar atmosphere at Red Hill, they find another level.

Agree with that 100%.

From what I hear he's a great bloke (and obviously intelligent too) so I wish him nothing but the best. I'd just prefer to have someone at lock with a bit of mongrel/sting in them.

If someone is given the task of "protecting" Lockyer, it needs to be someone that will scare the hell out of ball-runners like TC did.

Did you watch the last two Warriors games? Tate is one of the best wingers-playing-centre going around IMO. He was brilliant for Broncos then hit a slump, going to the Warriors has given him a new lease on life.

Tate has always been a waste on the wing, he's a centre. And yes, I agree that he is playing much better at the Warriors than he was here post-neck injury.
