Based on tonight I'd be comfortable with Ponga in the 7. Tackled his heart out and still had enough energy to be our only likely player late in the game. Plus he has the added advantage of not being Ben Hunt.

I'm saying we have no better options... maybe learn to read

Yes we do, it’s time for young players that aren’t as dumb as Ben hunt

Ash Taylor
Milf
All better than that fuckwit

DCE cost us the series in 2014 and now it was Hunts turn

I don't like to single out players, but that was a catastrophic performance from Ben Hunt.

We almost would have been better off with them not awarding the penalty try, and sending Hunt off instead haha.

It was the worst performance I have seen in Origin. I felt embarrassed for him.

I'd be dropping Chambers, Hess and Cooper ...

Hess and Cooper have been poor at both club and rep all season and Chambers has been poor again in origin ... would probably drop Hunt as well, but i don't think we have anyone better ATM.

so I would shift Gagai to center, and bring Oates in on the wing

start Arrow in place of Cooper

Give Joe Ofahengaue a shot of the bench ... his form deserves it

not sure who to give that last bench spot to

Put me in coach, I'm ready!!!!!

Yep, should have scored at least twice but Hunt and Chambers had other ideas. Stupid ones.
I don't blame chambers for his shit house kick... it had gone from the left side of the field and through multiple sets of hands before he was given a high wide pass 1m from the side line.

Hunt had to take on the responsibility and put the ball into the in goal, but he folded under the pressure and passed it onto Billy who also had plenty of time to kick it into the in goal albeit from a poorer position and difficult execution required

As a side note, Phil Gould was obnoxious and unprofessional. I've never seen such a partisan performance in commentary. He was willing NSW on the entire game and basically had a jizz when the penalty try was awarded. Mr. "stop with the penalties" fuckface.

Wasn't Hunt on the outside of Slater for that play?

You haven't watched much Origin if you think that was the worst performance..

Hodgo will always have that one. Merritt a very close second.

Ponga was better tonight.

you want to throw the entire weight of QLD on the kids shoulders when he doesn't regularly play in the halves ... that will work out well for us ...

he'll keep his spot on the bench (and rightly so) as our x-factor

It was always going to be a Blues win.

With the Maroons shooting themselves in the foot and with a little help from the refs on the penalty try and the Gagai no try.

It irritates me when fans come out and say crap like this, if you really believed it then I hope you didn't waste your time watching the 80 minutes.

It's amazing how when a match has been completed, some fans can come out and say how clearly it was going to play out.

We are Queensland, we have come to expect the points you've outlined above, and overcome them.

We didn't, but I had belief in the team until the near end when it left our grasp to the multiple brain farts a few of our players had.

Oh Hunt... What is there to say that hasn't been said? Trys his heart out but crumbles under pressure and comes up with dumb **** play after dumb **** play. Thank **** I won't have to watch the finals with heart in mouth every time Hunt is around the ball anymore.

It's the fact that no-one went to Chambers after his first (or second) derp kick and said "No more kicks or I'll smack you"..remember Chambers mouthing off to Inglis in game one? He's a **** head.

I still watched it. I'll watch every game regardless because I just like sitting back and watching footy.

But if you recall I was saying before the game it was going to be a Blues win.
