State of Origin I - QLD vs NSW - Live Discussion

so...for Game 2;

1. Should Napa be given instructions to find Klemmer hit outs and follow him around on defence and hit the **** with everything. Klemmers metre gains are a issue for us; as Cook and Tedesco get a lot of momentum next play off them? Reckon Napa can unsettle the roll he gives the blues....er "the other team" (Copyright Kevin Walters)

2. If somehow I find out that Chambers has gotten into Latrells head, then regardless of what else he does, Chamber has to mark up against him. Cause on what I saw he was monstered throughout and it really put him off his game. Double down on that I say..

3. Need a specialist hooker and Hunt gets the 14 jumper and Mbye can **** off...

4. Munster needs to do better on our try line in defence. Some poor reads and overcommitted in defence lead to Morris's try.

I don't think any changes should be made, even at hooker.

Hunt played well in the second half, he earned another crack at it. He didn't hurt the side last night and got through the 80 so changing the hooker around now is only going to disrupt the side.

Unless Smith decides to come out of retirement. That's the only time a change should be made.

Bennett has said he was surprised Walker was hooked. Claims Walker was the star of the show in that final 10 minutes.

I'm not sure he watched the game.

Telling his player what he needs to hear in order to regain confidence for his club games.

The concern about Latrell's performances last night was that he has been copping a hammering for it in the media.

He'll be fired up for Game II.

I'm still maintaining that QLD must win Game II. I cannot see them winning a decider in Sydney with the Blues going into the match full of confidence. If we're any chance of winning Game II, then Chambers needs to play the game of his life because if he doesn't, Latrell is going to carve him up.

Also watching the replay, Ponga needs to work on his positioning when NSW are in the attacking 20 and fast.

A couple of times he got caught out being out of position when a grubber went through and he was almost caught out a third time when Tedesco was screaming for a grubber to be put through but Cleary decided against it. That would have very likely resulted in a try which would have resulted in a different ball game.

He can't bank on Cleary playing it safe a second time around with the series on the line.

Or he is doing the usual Bennett trick of turning the attention to something outlandish he is saying so the media concentrate on him rather than his player.

I'm yet to see that work when it comes to Origin.

He's a bit late, the media are already ripping the halves apart.

Centers are a bit of a worry if we get any injuries. We really have very little depth there. O'Neill was playing pretty well, and I really like Tommy Opacic, and tbf his form over the last month has been pretty good, probably better than any of our centers at Brisbane, but it shows how poor our stocks are in the centers. They shouldnt really be in the conversation but they may have to be. We already have a halfback playing there, and i'm struggling to think of anyone else. Copley maybe? or the only other option is Gagai, but he is too important as a winger.

Copley has been going well, that's true. He might be a late bloomer.

Unless Copley has been switching to centre mid-game then he hasn't played at centre since Round 17 last year.

He's been on the wing all year.

lol already talking about who should get dropped from cockroaches.never change *****.What a dynasty.

Re: Mitchell, he had a groin injury a few weeks back. He had to be injected to come back on. That was around the time his form dipped too. Could be still recovering from that.

The best call of the night was again Fatty giving to a sour faced Gould. Towards the end of the broadcast Fatty goaded him in a mocking voice saying we towelled you up with four half backs in the team. Hunt, Morgan, DCE and Munster they're all halves and they kicked made NSW look very ordinary.

Fatty was on fire late in the game.
Lolz.......I liked it when he said it could have been 40-8 at one point. Gould got very salty straight away....
