Not really going to do the whole min by min match update, feel free if you want to do that, just put this up in case anyone wants to chat about the game as it happens.

Having said that......Gooooooo....um...the cowboys. [icon_shru

Im tipping more points than the raiders scored. Once the initial effort has faded and the Cows realise they can't win the flood gates will open

Wow, the Browns Cows score first....... go them woohoo woohoo.

Well the Cows are up 8-6. Thurstons missed 2 kicks at goal.....20 mins gone.

Don't think the Cows can win from here, but it won't stop me from cheering for them.

Its going to be a high scoring game, Cowboys throwing caution into the wind and Melbourne a capable of anything.

Carl Webb just scored

Melb lead 16-12 with a Thurston kick to come from in front

Carl Webb with a 4 pointer..... 16-14 Storm.

And that's the half.

Thurston should fix up that curve in his kicks. Cows would be in the lead if it wasn't for his two misses. I reckon he would kick 100% if he was straighter.

Piggy Riddell does the arm thing because he was curving too much so maybe Thursto should look into it as well.

His record is still 80% though, which is right up there with the best in the league! I agree though his should try not to do it.

A paper towel offers more resistance than the Cowboys defensive line.

And not even one of those fancy "stronger when wet ones".

The doggies defence could be consider worse after tonights performance!

Yeah but the Cowboys are consistenly awful. Even when they were making the finals, they still offered as much resistance as the French.

Thats the second try Slater has bombed with his crap passing game. Its a deadset raffle as to how his passes are going to come out, not even he knows.

Well the way Folau played tonight, he should be the Qld attacking centre, move Tate to wing in attack and then centre in defence.

Folau's ability to break one on one tackles close to the try line would be a huge assett to Qld's attack, and this is not putting Tate down by any means. Tate was one of our best last game in defence, but his attack is nowhere near Folaus' standard.

You just got to ask yourself a question, if you were a NSW supporter, who would you rather see in the centres in attack, Folau or Tate.

You'd also have to ask them - who'd they rather see in defence? Folau is undoubtedly a better attacking centre than Tate, but Tate has it all over Folau in defence. Granted that attack is slightly more important to a centre's game than defence and that either one of them will be marking Cooper, who isn't that great in attack anyway...but still.

Lets also not forget how bad Tate is under the high ball on the wing. We must keep him in the centres, even if that does sort of keep Folau more quiet in attack.

agree 100%. while folau is a much better attacking centre, tates inablity to defend kicks totally outweighs that.

And if you read my post carefully, I said I would move Folau into the centres in attack then move him onto the wing in defence and push Tate into the centres in defence.

Don't forget that the surface at ANZ stadium is very slippery, we are going to need 2 centres that can run over the top of their opposite to score tries, there is no use trying to step around players. \It's very hard for a player like Tate to use his right foot step on that kind of surface, there is alot more points in Qld if we move Folau into the centres in attack.
