Pretty disappointing game for a final, I was hoping for a cracker of a game, and it fizzled. The standard has been ordinary all year (apart from a few matches), and I was hoping the finals would reverse that, I guess however the first week of the finals hardly ever produces classic matches...

Witht the comp being as it is nowadays - you really have to rely on both teams to bring their A game to see a great spectacle. WHen one team is 'off-ish' this is what happens. The only game this year that deserves 'epic' status was that Eels/Tigers game. Most likely because there was so much riding on it and the fact they had 35k at the SFS and so forth.

No it's been the best competition in a decade. Channel 9 said so. :-)

I'd prefer to give man of the match awards to those who create opportunities, not just capitalise on them. Smith, inglis, finch, cronk were more influential.

On top of that we always do it tough against Melbourne - to top it off @ Melbourne? ooooft. If our current team can pull that off, honestly it will be a huge over-achievement and IMO a very successful season.
