Greetings friends, do you wish to look as happy as me? Well, you've got the power inside you right now. Use it, and sign up for BroncosHQ’s very own fantasy rugby league competition.
Supercoach? Bah! That’s for plebs! If you want a challenge, and to prove yourself as the most knowledgeable of all things rugby league on the forum, come and join the SVRL competition we run on BHQ.
REGISTRATION IS OPEN TO ALL REGULAR USERS OF BRONCOSHQ.
Be quick though, spots are limited! We only run two competitions, with relegation/promotion between them.
How does it work you ask? Well, it’s quite straightforward! Before the beginning of the season, we conduct a draft where each player takes turns picking their squad. Then as the season begins, you name a squad each week and hope to score more than your opponent. Throughout the season you can ‘dump’ and ‘pick up’ players, or temporarily replace them if they pick up an injury.
The scoring system is very straightforward and easy to understand. Points are awarded for tries, ‘forward’ tries (based on tackles/runs), try assists and 40/20s (though not very position is eligible!), goals, and of course, field goals.
It really does make every round of footy a lot more interesting – I’ve been playing for 15 years or so now, and I find it to be a far more enjoyable experience than other fantasy footy comps.
For a full rundown of how SVRL works, please have a read of this post - https://broncoshq.com/threads/game-rules.24691/#post-2644908
You can also look back at the competition over the years and get a feel for how it works, by following this link - https://broncoshq.com/forums/super-vrl-history.2123/ (take note of how many times user ningnangnong has won the competition, if you can count that high)
Everyone should have access to the above links, but if you cannot view them please head here - https://broncoshq.com/account/preferences - and enable the SVRL forum by selecting 'Show' from the drop down box.
If you’re interested in playing, please make a post in this thread or hit me up via PM.
If you have any questions at all, please fire away in this thread!
Love you long time,
ning xoxo
