I think their major concern is PR. In the long run, kicking Cronulla out would be a good move but if they do it now without a new franchise coming in it'll be about the NRL being a big evil corporation and they don't need that right now, not with the tv deal coming up.

Yes and no. Capacity wise, they're not appropriate to host finals games I agree with that. But the stadium's themselves are fantastic venues for finals games. Nothing beats a packed out suburban stadium in a finals match.

Except a packed out major stadium.

I believe it is only situational anyway - so it might be worth a try. I still cringe at week 1 of the final series... its useless.

Fantastic news for Rugby League, the more big games we have the better.

I was watching the season highlights on Fox Sports and the crowds at the Finals games looked amazing, the NRL will only benefit from more of these fixtures. icon_thumbs_u
