On topic: it probably seems like there's fewer injuries because the two teams you support are 1, 2 on the ladder. Teams like Manly, Sharks, Canberra would probably disagree with you vehemently.

Newcastle have been pretty unlucky on the injury front this year too, but get Uate and Simpson back this week.

Newcastle are ALWAYS unlucky with injury. In fact, it's probably not unlucky at all. Surely it has something to do with their conditioning or something. They always seem to have a shit load of injuries.

Yeah my brother is a die hard Knights fan and he reckons the club due to being so crap financially struggles to get good off field staff so the physio/doctor/strength and conditioning side of staff is probably never filled with top quality guys.

I think maybe the players are more tired thanks to the faster speed of the game and thus have less energy to put into smashing the absolute sheight out of each other?

Apart from which you only need 1 or 2 key players to be injured and the whole team can implode.
