I've had enough trouble getting interested in this World cup without having to stay up till 11pm to watch the Australian team play in Australia not in the state I live in and get a friggin delayed coverage cause 60 minutes has to be played.

One of the longest, most tiresome games i've watched - and that had nothing to do with the footy itself. The way Nine presented it completely took the sting and feel out of it as a viewer, and certainly wouldn't have done much to impress any casuals given how many of us hardcores felt about it. It just helps promote the perception of this tournament being 2nd rate.

It comes as no surprise to see Nine continue their pathetic treatment of one of their best products, but the morons at the ARL/RLIF who let Nine call the shots with this tournament should be hung up by their balls and have piranhas nibbling on their nipples.

channel 9 can suck a fat one what a disgrace the coverage was last night. The game didn't start on tv until after 9 what a debacle.

The only way Ch 9 are going to change their tune is if the NRL/RLIF get some balls and sue them for breach of contract. Reneging on the commitments to live coverage of both the World Cup and NRL finals is surely grounds for the NRL to tear up the television rights contract and re-negotiate it with someone else. I know they want do it because they are just as crap as the Nine execs.

Not surprisingly, it's all about the money for Nine. Fair enough though their prerogative is to make profit.

What's not cool is that the NRL/ARL or whoever aren't standing up to the network when they said they would show the Australian games live. Colin Love is a spineless twat really.
