Yeah this is going to be an easy win for Swiatek, won't even break a sweat.

If you fancy a bit of tennis but don't want the $27 glasses of Champers or the AO crowds then I encourage you to check out Challenger level event. I recently watched one where it's free to enter and there might be 30 people in Pat Rafter arena.. watching players 100-1000 in the world duke it out, the standard is amazing, and full of players who will crack it to ATP level.

I think these sort of events will get a lot more popular as exorbitant cost continue to price people out of the beginner events

Hopefully it takes a while before they charge an arm and a leg for that as well

Ya. He's been in the fight but Alacaraz is really putting his foot down now.

The level he and Sinner are at is incredible.

There really needs to be a third big gun, its really boring with just two.

There probably will be another big gun in the next 3-4 years, similar how Djokovic joined the club a few years after Federer and Nadal. Dunno if its going to be someone of the current bunch or someone who is currently only 16 or 17 or whatever.

Also I "hated" him because I was a big Fed fan when I as younger, and I still like him less than Alcaraz, but I think it would be great to have old man Novak win another one here. He's always been a great ambassador for the Australian open, I think he deserves another one before he quits.

Alcaraz a lucky lucky boy just now.

Been allowed a medical time out for cramp at a crucial time in the match.

Zverev rightfully blowing up.

Zverev did absolutely everything he could to throw that set away with Alcaraz clearly hampered.

This should get interesting now.

Off to a 5th set. Pretty gripping match.

We'll see if Alacaraz has just been coasting/saving himself for the 5th set after his cramping or if Zverev goes on with it.

Been a great watch.

Zverev man... 😔

How does he consistently find a way to choke/bottle those moments in big matches.

Serving for the match at 5-4 fifth set...

From 5-3 up to losing the 5th set 7-5. Sheesh

Next match could be interesting from a crowd perspective.

Djoker is prone to getting booed at the Aus Open.... I haven't seen much of it this year to know if he's had support... but he comes in as an underdog and against a drug cheat.
