Unless he’s playing Taumalolo.
Lolo started a lot earlier, he was getting regular game time at 18 iirc

I stand by Lodge first ... we got one of our big meter makers locked down ... we now need to lock down the second and build the pack around them.
Fifita would then be next
after them we need to lock down Flegler and Carrigan long term as well

I would like to keep TPJ but his rumoured price tag exceeds what i would consider for an inconsistent "potential" player. It could also cost us the retention and signing of other players.
We have seen the results the titans had with paying 1 mil for "potential". Taylor could come good in a few years time (during that time he has taken approx 10% of their cap) but by that time he has matured and developed consistency his contract would be ending and he be up for grabs again.

I had a couple of Titans fans sitting behind me on Sunday ... when Milford dropped a pass they were laughing, saying shit like "there your million dollar half" ... i just casually turned to them and said "got two words for you ... Ash Taylor", that shut them up for a bit

While TPJ has great physical attributes, sadly he is lacking between the right and the left ear and that is why you will never see a consistently great player.

TPJ is a weird one. He is not performing at the standard he needs to be currently but it's clear that he has it in him. I think we should continue to be patient with him. Mind you I don't think we should offer him any more than 5-600k for minimum 3 years. If he doesn't want that than let's just focus on our other talented young fowards coming through.
We will be fine either way. It's in our Spine and backs where the tougher decisions lie.

Essentially what I am saying is it isn't enough to be physically gifted if the mind/mindset isn't there. The best players are often the brightest as well and end up being the most consistent in their careers. With TPJ, I fear his career will be patchy.
I was mainly just having a joke. Tbh I agree with a lot of what your saying.

Seibs needs to put TPJ back on the edge, that is where he works best, but stay as a Bench option untill he can play better, at this point he isn't worth spending big money for though, but if he can get his play in order he can be one of the best forwards in the game, his most dangerous weapon is his offload not his running game though that's why he is better for the edge because he can be close to the faster players who can take advantage best.

If he ends up being 80% the player Taumalolo is...we will have a very good third prop at the club.
If I was Siebs, id be saying to him to chew Tamalolos ear off during the international break and really ask hi to honestly assess his game. it would be a ideal time to have a heart to heart with his idol....could come back with a whole new appreciation of what he needs to do..?
