I don't think anyone would have predicted by round 7 we could be playing without Carrigan, Walsh, Reynolds, Hunt, Paix, Mozer and Walters. Having 5x/6x halves taken out is insane. Rogers and Duff can still short term produce better than some of the other teams in the bottom 8, they did well considering.

For sure but can they do it a few weeks in a row? We’re going to need them to.

But yeah, I’m nothing but proud of the team for last night, that was an amazing effort
 
We just need to jag some wins over the next month or two because if we somehow can (and we definitely can as last week and this week showed), we'll have one heck of a fresh cavalry returning fresh into the pointy end of the season.
 
Need to get to the bye quickly, and get some players back.

Tough 4 weeks coming up: Bulldogs at home, and then Roosters, Manly and Warriors (no origin players) away.

Will be happy if we can get at least 2 wins out of those.

Definitely going to be a challenge. Might only win them all by 10-20 points

I think Wahs is the magic round game this year... so no trips to NZ for us this year.

We do get our usual sharks game origin affected though.

Panthers, Wahs and Knights are the only teams Infront of us who haven't had a bye.
We're in 9th but same amount of wins as the team sitting 3rd.
Considering our injury toll not going too bad this early in the year.
 
I don't mean to shit on Kev, I really don't. But the contrast to how the boys are playing under the current injury crisis compared to '24 is quite damning. Current injury situation is arguably worse too.

Even if we lose the next few games - the past 2 has shown me enough. I guess you could attribute it to the group being more experienced/mature too, but still.

We had some pretty gritty wins with a depleted team under Kev too. Especially in 23. Sharks and Warriors games come to mind.

Kevvie picked us up from our lowest point. Madge built on that and is taking us to the next level.

So much for all the talk at the start of the season that the Broncos were a divided club under Michael Maguire.

The 21-20 win over the in-form Tigers surely goes down as one of the bravest in the club’s proud history.

Right up with the famous win by the ‘Baby Broncos’ back in 2002 at Campbelltown that put a young Craig Bellamy on the coaching map.

In the absence of nine players including Reece Walsh, Ben Hunt and Pat Carrigan, the Broncos also had to deal with injuries to Payne Haas (knee) and Jesse Arthurs (calf), while Kotoni Staggs (foot) was also struggling.

But the ageless Adam Reynolds, himself returning from a groin injury, showed what a champion playmaker he still is as he guided the Broncos home in a nail-biter.

Maguire also deserves huge praise for the way he has kept this team on track despite the mounting injuries and obstacles this season.

Going right back to pre-season and Haas’ decision to sign with Souths after talk they were again pushed too hard over the summer, to the explosive departure of defence coach Ben Te’o, there has been constant speculation about Madge’s super intense attitude wearing thin on the players.

Yet they continue to turn up and play for him, showing why they remain a force this year despite currently sitting ninth on the ladder.

There’s no doubt it’s going test the Broncos being without Haas and Walsh for an extended period heading into State of Origin.

But I think we’ve seen enough already to know they will be in thick of it come the big end of season games.

Can we still make the 4? Feel like we must win against manly, dragons and titans coming up. would put us in a position where we need to then win 8 of 11 to get the same points as last year. by the time that starts we should have everyone back (with the exception of losing players during origin)
