can we please close this thread ... it's just taunting us at this point.

one thing has been made perfectly clear... we won't get enough fairly refereed games this year to have any chance.

combine that with out monumental hospital ward we call a dressing room and we'll be lucky to make the finals at all

People said the same thing last year - including after we got smashed by Manly. Have faith.

I've been the most positive person on this forum ...

what does it tell you that the NRL have broken me and I have no more faith in the integrity of this sport ... or our ability to overcome this corrupt incompetent administration. our outs are too extensive and we'll 100% lose Patty and Walsh to Origin to further kill our chances.

I have faith we have the team to do it no doubt.

Its just the timing of the injury returns that are concerning, we would most likely have a disjointed 17 the whole year (throw in origin into the mix)...

If we can get
Walsh, Mam, Haas, Carrigan, Walters, Mariner (fingers crossed), Staggs, Piakura - absolutely firing and gelling together at the right time...

with a strong supporting cast on top...

no doubt in the world... we all know that...

but will they have enough time... I mean, a lot would have to go our way.

We've have to be in a decent position from about round 16-ish... and even then...

dont forget last year, the warriors falling off and giving us 4th was HUGE.

Those players have played together long enough to hopefully click again when the time comes. We just need to jag some wins here and there until they return. At 5 wins and 5 losses, we're at the exact same point as we were last year (we even went to 5 wins and 7 losses last year before we started to find form).

The top 4 doesn't seem as set as it was last year (we're only 2 wins of the top 4 ourselves). Besides Penrith, I can see all the other teams potentially dropping off.

Dont go down the conspiracy hole mate - we're in a rut, but we were in a worse rut last year. Even I lost faith at certain points last year, but thinking negativity or positively is a choice :)

It’s not a conspiracy at all. We are not being reffed the same as other teams.

Manly had the quickest line speed I’ve seen since the Roosters had the quickest line speed I’ve ever seen the week before. Paix’s service is horrible but the defence being in the first receivers face the moment they touch it every single tackle is not possible. We get penalised for ruck interference on the quickest play the balls of the night. We are getting penalised for tackling too hard or hipdrop tackles that don’t land on the legs. I’ve never seen errors in the ruck not get pulled up, but it’s happened to us numerous times the last few weeks. Flying ****ing headbutts aren’t penalised when it’s against the Broncos. Players can jump from outside the field of play to catch a ball against us. This is indisputable. We are not being reffed the same as 16 other clubs.

This is exactly what every fan of every NRL team thinks, especially when they're losing. Not saying the refing can be poor, but we're not special in getting calls against us.

If I believed the entire system was rigged against us, I wouldn't bother watching or even engaging with the game.

Maybe you should check your list twice ...

I'm sure you'll find the names of Peter Vlandys, Andrew Abdo and Graham Annesley on the naughty list ... probably more than a few of the refs as well

She done, and we lose our best prop for the last 20 years. Dark times ahead I think.
 
Jeez this is even tough for me... but:

After round 13:
2025: 5 wins and 6 losses
2026: 5 wins and 6 losses

In 2025 we then went into round 14 with our black jersies against the Titans - which started our big run to the grand final.

Playing Titans next week. In black too.

All going to plan.
