The positives this season...

McGuire carrying on his improvement, showing he'll be part of the qld and AUS side for years to come.
barba!!!
Wallace leaving FINALLY! been calling for it for 5 years, finally my wish has come true.
Norman leaving.
hunt finally being given the halfback spot. Hope its not too late though.
Hodges going a whole season uninj......lolz no.
yow yeh not coming back early.
thaiday shitting the bed so hard and so often that its impossible for others not to finally see it.
hoffmans form on the wing, though looks like that will amount to nothing.
parker just playing out of his skin again after an interrupted 2012.
Staggs broncos career seemingly being over for a few days before they dashed my hopes for that.
and finally, at least we won't get knocked out of the finals without putting up a fight again.

Until injury Hodgo played his best season in recent memory. His form was incredible and he dragged the team kick and screaming to a couple of wins. Would've been in an even worse position without him.

Barba signing.
Wallace leaving. So far Hunt hasn't done much for me to cheer about him getting a go. Honestly at this point I'd care less if we gave up hunt and kept Wallace (hope to be proven wrong) but the biggest positive about him and Norman leaving is that now we are so short on halves that Hook might have to actually play a hooker at bench hooker.

Corey Oates. What a stud.
Kahu making his debut.
Parkers amazing form.
Hodges nearly managing to finish the season.
Wallace and Norman goneski.
Signing Barba.
Reed tripping over himself in the clear.
Hoffman's kick returns.

And I'd say not scraping into the finals is a positive as long as the management takes a long hard look at why this season was so crap. Sign Billy Johnstone, Dean Benton, anyone who can our fitness problem!

Watching the antics and jesters of Maranta near the tryline, thinking how will he bomb it, then looking at Hodges expression on his face wondering how the hell he is stuck with him and not someone like Oates.

Just so nobody gets upset, I'll whisper it

psst .....Peter Wallace is leaving.

Don't get too excited, we have one more game to endure with him.

When everything is going our way we try really hard.

Sounds trite, but it IS actually a good thing...I would rather we lose fighting, than give up (a-la Warriors). For all my criticism this year, one thing I can say is that generally this year, everyone has given their all in each game (with some notable exceptions *cough*Norman*cough*) - and that's good to see.

I also want to add that we've got forwards with a good passing game (and I'd like to see it used a LOT more next year) - Hannant and Parker are the kings, but McGuire has really come along with his passing game this year, and Glenn / Gillette are both more than capable. This is a real strength IMO and something we can really capitalise on if we get our fitness where it should be - we have the capacity to run opposition teams off their feet with that passing game if we get fitness right in the off-season.

There's change .......absolutely the biggest positive that I'll take out of the season.

I can handle another "growing" season next year, just as long as there's a new group of players doing the growing.

Oates
Barba signing
Kennedy, Tasi
Milford>>>>next?
New bench spot opens up (Granville?)

That alone will be something to look forward to.

Gillett improved heaps
Corey Parker is a Brisbane legend and will be remembered as one of the Broncos greats.

Make or break year for Thaiday next year. We can't keep putting up with that shit.

I don't feel like I'm going to add anything original but ...

Wallace leaving
Parker continuing to play like a superstar
Hunt getting an opportunity
Oates
Hodges
People beginning to realise what a pretender Thaiday is

- Wallace leaving
- Prince Leaving
- Norman Leaving
- Barba Signing
- No embarrassing fired coach situation
- Kearny not head coach
- Oates
- Hunt showed he might have what it takes to be a decent half

The above + playing like a top 4 side for 20 minutes a number of times, some terrific tries, and with Barba next year, the raw materials are there.

... and learning what must be done next season so there are no repeats of this one

One positive is that we missed the semis. Hopefully this will get the boys hungry for next year and bring about some much needed changes in coaching directions. If we made the semis, the issues with the team would have been smoothed over to a certain extent and would have provided some false justification to Griffin and co viewpoints (i.e. "we still made the semis"). Get them fit Griffin ffs.

......that we are not Dragons supporters...........just lost to the Eels.

- Parker, outstanding. Shoe in for players player imo
- Hunt getting a continuous run at 7 (if only at end of season)
- Oates
- Second man play working well, with Hoffman finishing
- Hoffman on the wing
- Norman goooone
