The Storm Hate Thread [Official]

I would imagine this would be his last year. Probably wants to finish the job and not bail. Doesnt have anything to prove though but you know what these elite competitive people are like.

Yeah I'm not sure we should be discussing this particular topic in this thread. No one wishes this on Bellamy or anyone else, this is really difficult and better discussed in the general discussion thread.
Yea that's why i posted it there. Didn't think it was appropriate here given the heading.

If Bellamy ever gets the storm to the grand final sack 'im then get a new coach for the grand final cause he can't win 'em

really sad news

is this thread a bit distasteful now? maybe we should shut it down

all the best craig
Absolutely not.

This dreadful diagnosis doesn't change what he has done or the club he has built. I don't suddenly respect and rate the guy because of it. He has done what he has done and none of that changes.

But I absolutely don't wish illness on the bloke, especially something so devastating, and I would love to see this end well for him.

These things are not mutually exclusive and as long as we keep it tasteful there's nothing wrong to keep posting here about the Storm's downfall.

I see the real challenge in this for Bunn, he could have a new coach to work with in 12 months' time.

Storm badly need reset; they look like a team that thought things were going well in December but in May it looks like they have missed things. Either fitness, roster or both.

I think the roster needs a reset. There is the challenge for Bunn he has to reset the roster based on Bellamy which has been their strength for a long time but maybe Bellamy isn't coach soon and that alignment changes. Bunn went through this at the Broncos with Henjak, he learned everything off Cyril and was aligned to Bennett and Cyril and then Bennett leaves.

Tough to reset when they're seeing 2 new teams enter the competition as well .

Cam Munster has contemplated retirement due to the Storm sucking right now.

“The worst I’ve had in my 13-year career is probably back-to-back losses, I don’t think I’ve ever had six in my life. It’s something I’m not really used to,” he said.

“You always question a lot of things in your mind, whether you still can play the game of rugby league.

“You don’t forget how to play, but at the same time you start to question your confidence and I’m sure there’s a lot of guys in our team who have questioned themselves at times.

“There have been some times in my head thinking, ‘Should I be hanging them up?’, to be completely honest’.”

But he still thinks he can add a lot to the team.

“It’s just unfortunately haven’t been getting the rewards or the results I’ve been chasing. I think with everything, the more you try it doesn’t work for you,” he said.

“At the moment my defence hasn’t been great.

“And I’m making decisions I wouldn’t usually make.

“But when you’re under pressure and trying to solves things on your own and that’s not what you need for the team, you need to stay in the system.

“We’re probably just in survival mode.”

I saw that clip from his podcast on instagram. He looked like he was about to cry.

The fact you have a guy who's played for 12 years, racked up 244 games, questioning himself because he's rarely ever strung a few losses together is absolutely ****ing insane. Does he expect sympathy for this admission? Storm have been THE most ruthless at exploiting other teams' weaknesses for the past 2 decades. You think they ever felt bad for going after (just an example here) the Tigers who have lost the past 10 straight? Ever really cared about the lack of confidence of those poor teams who just can't get off the bottom of the ladder? Or did they rub their hands together and twist the knife even further, laughing at their good fortune? This is the team who brutally went after Kodi at centre time and time again, no relenting and no remorse. Neither would I expect it, btw, this is competitive sport but Storm are one of the few teams throughout history who just do not let off the go pedal at all as they smash other teams into submission.

So, I have zero sympathy now that shoe is on the other foot. I get that it's challenging, Cam, but suck it the **** up champ. I hope you and the club are questioning everything. The fact you are tells me Storm's aura is well and truly broken and I am ****ing here for it and will love every second of the club's demise. You and your club have delighted in ripping other teams to shreds, now with any luck t's your turn. Not so nice being on the other end, is it?

Yes, I'm bitter about our club's record against the Storm. Yes, I have a massive Storm-shaped chip on my shoulder. I don't care. I hope the rest of the comp screw the scum club to the bottom of the table for the next 2 decades. It's a shame the Dragons suck even worse this year, I would love to see Munster, Hughes and Grant win a spoon tbh (but doubt I will). A hefty dose of humble pie is LONG overdue for everyone involved with that club.

Edit - I said it a few weeks back, but this year it really does feel like someone at that club's deal with the devil has expired...this is like a freaking kid's story.

Dude on the wing is set to become the 7th! Victorian to debut for the Storm.
What a franchise they are.

I don’t even count half of them as they aren’t Victorian, unless Apia is in Victoria

Yeah well he's going to have to stop this victim mentality or I will have him out of my supercoach side quick smart.

It was awkward watching him do that interview in the QLD jersey through the week, kept referencing "if I get picked, if they'll have me", blah blah.

****in get out there and put it all to bed.

He always does that... was doing it last year after he was named captain.

It's the maroons mentality of you don't own the jersey
