Tigers vs Broncos live scores

I don't think Sims was paw, I thought he went OK.

SimplyBronco did my typing error send you into a major OCD fit. [icon_lol1.

No but Clinton made a lot more metres than I thought he would have so he must have been far from rubbish. Sims on the other hand made next to no metres. If a forward makes at least 100 mettres gained he has usually done a good job.

The game was close. Could have gone anyway.
Who got Man of the match? They didn't show it on the replay on fox.
Did anyone notice my Locky on the screen at the 65th min., [icon_lol1.

[icon_lol1. Indeed it did!

Nah mate, I think I've just had one too many days of work. On my way home I almost got hit by a 40 year old European woman whilst crossing the crossing and if I didn't look up at the last minute I reckon I would've flown a good 10 metres across because she's so blind she couldn't see that there were stripes on the floor. Ridiculous how they let loonies like these on the roads. [icon_non

Didn't get to see the Broncos game though I'll catch the replay at some stage. Looking forward to seeing that much raved-about Denan Kemp try!

Was he the kid in a white Broncos jersey or the guy with the sign?

I would say it was Spud waving the big Locky flag in the background. However I havent watched my fox IQ recording so I cant say for sure!

However I can say I was on tv for a split second after Reece's first try (out first try) in about the 15th minute [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [eusa_clap.gi

Lawrence has always been poor in defense. That's why I don't rate him yet. And some people here want him in Rep sides. [icon_confu

Collis is easilly better than him.

Meh, a lot of kids suffer from this sort of stuff early in their careers. I remember Darren Lockyer being a very poor defender when he first arrived on the block. Soon after everyone rated him as the best defensive fullback in the comp. It all comes with experience and the right coaching. Lawrence will get there, and the kid has WAY more natural talent than Collis, so if it was a choice between the two I'd have faith in Lawrence and send him out with a tackling bag.

I agree, Lawrence will be big in the future. But right now it doesn't matter how young he is, as far as defensive skill goes he is average at best.

And should have been a special for the 'Roos as for SoO.

I thought the Tigers played really well and our victory - especially without Hodges and Lockyer still not at his best, was simply terrific.

Dammit. I missed the game. :( Does anyone know when they will play it again?

Personaly, if you watch the game, you don't need stats.

OK Prof Hammo, master of rugby league, give us your thoughts on each of the Broncos' 17 from last night.

Like you Coxy, I am far from a master of Rugby League.

Maybe, in my sarcasism I used one too many smileys. I am still of the belief that you can see by watching games, if players are in form or not. Statistics do not show a true reflection of a game. Missed tackle counts, as well as tackle counts can be VERY misleading, when judging players performances.

For the record;
I have already stated that all the outside backs had a solid performance. Stagg seemed to really work out there. Hunt played well, Wallace was solid again. Lockyer is far from ok, something is really wrong with him. Hannant was good, made a few runs when we needed it. Tunza was great in defence again and made a few good runs. Sims was solid however seemed quiet to me. Ennis is sensational, however he has this on field persona that makes him hard to like, I can't put my finger on what it is. He definetly didn't like coming off, and we seemed to lose forward momentum when PJ was on. PJ did nothing for me last night.
Eastwood was avaerage, Kenny was tough in defence and needs more game time IMO. On game time, when is Moon going to get more? Once again he played well for the time he was on. Thaiday, doesn't even need a mention, the man is in unparalled personal best form. This brings us to Clinton. He was average, however, he isn't setting my world on fire. You say the stats say he did a heap of metres, however I don't recall him making many last night. For mine, he is barely holding down his spot, I want Taylor in over him now.

Statistics are misleading.

Statistics can be misleading. So can impressions from watching the game. You can see a bloke make 4 line breaks and set up a try, and not notice that he's also not made a tackle and has avoided doing any work in defence. (*cough* Sonny Bill *cough*)

I think the statisticians do a great job. They add value to the overall analysis of the game icon_thumbs_u

On Clinton, and I'm sure I said this earlier, but I thought he had his best game for us last night. Still a way to go but getting better week by week, and will hopefully continue this week.
