Parramatta have granted embattled halfback Tim Smith a release from the final two years of his playing contract.

Smith sought indefinite leave from the club last Monday to overcome his battle with bipolar disorder and returned to his family on the Gold Coast.

The 23-year-old had been contracted to the club until 2009.

Titans will no doubt sign him up and release Prince [icon_wink

If Russell Crowe and Peter Home is a Court have any brains they will seek him out pay for as much help as possible and sign the kid. They need a halfback more than anyone else and he is about as talented as they come, they certainly could and are doing a lot worse than him.

Or maybe just let the guy deal with his issues; nothing could be worse than attempting to sign him under the covers of "we're trying to help".

Sensible idea, I wonder if they have any money left...

Something could be worse...they could keep using Eddie Paea [icon_lol1.

All I can say is I hope he sorts himself out and gets well. And whether he comes back to league or not, I hope he has a very productive life. Bipolar is crap. A friend of mine has bipolar, tried to kill herself but ended up severing her optical nerves, so now she is blind for life.
