Alec said:We can definitely beat Manly in the finals with our best side. Orford is abysmal when it comes to important matches.
rnabokov said:Orford is the most over-rated half in the competition - and his arrogance pisses me off.
Manly are NO WAY a premiership threat.
mick! said:Definitely agree that the right move for them would be to move Presto into the halves to work alongside Davis. Brad's a decent player in his own right, but you can't expect someone like him to steer the ship in a possibly finals-bound NRL team.
Rogers would be dynamic out wide, too.
The Rock said:When was the last time Manly beat a decent team at full strength? [icon_shru Don't get me wrong, they are playing great at the moment but I am not going to officially rate them until they beat one of the tops teams (and play them at full strength)
They beat us in round 9 with a relatively fit team (Minus Lockyer). That's the closet they've got to beating a good team that is at full strength or close to it. Check this out.
Round 9 - Defeated Broncos.
Round 10 - Defeated Cowboys (No Thurston, Webb etc)
Round 11 - Beaten by an in form Dragons at Manly!
Round 12 - Defeated the Raiders...Wow.
Round 13 - Smashed the Roosters (No Mason, Myles, Fitzgibbon, Tupou etc due to Origin)
Round 14 - Bye
Round 15 - Defeated the Warriors....JUST.
Round 16 - Defeated the Knights (Without Buderus and Gidley)
Round 17 - Defeated Titans (without Prince, Bailey, Harrison)
And next week they play the Sharks at Toyota who will be close to full strength, they'll be missing Bird. If Manly get beat the Sharks next week then maybe I might believe that they are the real thing.
