Titans v Manly *SPOILERS*

I was watching Matt Ballin pretty closely throughout the game and he seems like a very smart player out of dummy half.

Wouldn't mind seeing him in a Broncos jersey next year, if he wants to come back.

We can definitely beat Manly in the finals with our best side. Orford is abysmal when it comes to important matches.

bloody oath, I reckon we'd smash them. Very overrated IMO

I think Manly might be peaking too early as well.

I think Hodges was missing aswell when we played them. I agree, all they've shown is that they can beat the understrength sides (ie missing players) and the average teams of the comp. They haven't beaten any of the top sides at full strength.

Orford is the most over-rated half in the competition - and his arrogance pisses me off.

Manly are NO WAY a premiership threat.

I tend to agree but somehow this guy is leading the Dally M Medal tally by 3 points as of the end of last round (when voting goes behind closed doors).

I wouldnt be surprised if he got 1 or 2 more points tonight to add to his tally.

He or Anasta will win it this year, what a farce that would be, probably the 2 most overrated halves in the competition vying for its most coveted player prize!

Anasta and Orford have been very good for their winning clubs this year and the Dally M goes to the best player in club football, I cannot see how it would be a farce if they won.

I agree that Anasta has been great for the Roosters but I dont really think that Orford has played all that well for Manly.

Yes he has led the way in regards to direction and a kicking game but he hasnt really played out of his skin. It helps when your team is winning.

I fell asleep at 12 all didn't think it was going to be worth watching.
Looks like I'll be watching the replay tomrrow

So wish Manly kept Monahan instead of Orford.

Oh BTW Manly will be in the finals icon_thumbs_u

Brenton Bowen needs to not wear tennis shoes. He was slipping and sliding all over the place, threw a hospital pass to Campbell, lucky he got out of it.

Sack his arse right now.

Your outside backs in general (outside of Presto and Delaney) are all crap. O'Dwyer offers nothing, Atkins has had one good match and barely played since, Bowen sucks, Jeffreys is too small, Samau sucks. I can't believe the Titans didn't have a decent run at Michaels and Boyd.

Matt Peterson was a massive, massive loss. He was nothing outstanding but he was a really good finisher and worked well with Prince, Campbell and Rogers.

If I were a Titans fan, I'd want Preston to move to halfback and Walker to come into fullback, I don't think this Davis is good enough to make things happen with the backline he has to work with.

Davis is a good player but has played 6 for Tweed for quite sometime it has been a big ask to move him to 7 in the NRL maybe move Presto to 7 and Davis to 6 so Rogers can play a bit wider in 3 or 4.

Definitely agree that the right move for them would be to move Presto into the halves to work alongside Davis. Brad's a decent player in his own right, but you can't expect someone like him to steer the ship in a possibly finals-bound NRL team.

Rogers would be dynamic out wide, too.

Agree - I think it's their only real hope of making the 8.

When was the last time Manly beat a decent team at full strength? [icon_shru Don't get me wrong, they are playing great at the moment but I am not going to officially rate them until they beat one of the tops teams (and play them at full strength)

They beat us in round 9 with a relatively fit team (Minus Lockyer). That's the closet they've got to beating a good team that is at full strength or close to it. Check this out.

Round 9 - Defeated Broncos.
Round 10 - Defeated Cowboys (No Thurston, Webb etc)
Round 11 - Beaten by an in form Dragons at Manly!
Round 12 - Defeated the Raiders...Wow.
Round 13 - Smashed the Roosters (No Mason, Myles, Fitzgibbon, Tupou etc due to Origin)
Round 14 - Bye
Round 15 - Defeated the Warriors....JUST.
Round 16 - Defeated the Knights (Without Buderus and Gidley)
Round 17 - Defeated Titans (without Prince, Bailey, Harrison)

And next week they play the Sharks at Toyota who will be close to full strength, they'll be missing Bird. If Manly get beat the Sharks next week then maybe I might believe that they are the real thing.

Good Post Rock.

You make some good points. I detest Manly but I'm not ashamed to admit I do fear them and I wouldn't like meeting them in the finals. They've definitely come up against sides missing key players but next to Melbourne they are the best football side in the comp. They do the little things right and I think they'll make the semi finals minimum.
