Trial #3 vs. Warriors

Stagg doesn't need to play this game, there's no need to "trial" someone like him, it's pretty obvious what he provides to the team anyway.

yeah but in that case half the team need not play. all about getting some match fitness, rhythm. plus essentially a new team for him so just blow the cobwebs out etc

I understand that but I see more value in someone like Bond playing a trial than Stagg, he can get fitness in a reserve grade trial if need be and play the full 80 too. Bond is an unknown, having him in a 3rd round trial would be a great way to see how he would perform in the NRL this year. We aren't really in danger territory for the forwards but we need everything to go right in the backs.

Makes sense with Berryman IMO. He has trained with the team all summer and had a good game in the first trial. Kemp will get his shot. His fitness is in need of work after doing no pre-season. Could also be a case of wanting to see more of Berryman because we know what Kemp offers.

why? Kemp missed the whole offseason and the majority of the preseason while Berryman didn't.

I didn't see the first 2 trials but from what I've heard, Kemp played well and scored 2 trials. What did Berryman do? Kemp 20 tries in a season for the Broncs a few yrs ago. Why sign him up when there ain't any better opportunity for him to be starting with yow yeh and Copley injured?

I hope that's the case

This is also the guy who couldn't make a dent or play first grade most time since 2008 at 3 different clubs, including the Broncos!

Kemp got a last chance from the Broncos, and if he returns to his 2008 form, he will get the spot, but I don't see why he should get a leg up on Berryman, was actually quite impressive in the first trial as well, and has done the whole pre-season with the squad.

Remember though last time at the broncos he got busted bad. Soldiered on, trying to get back on the park before the docs realised he had a punctured lung. Not the sort of thing you'd find in a soft player or one looking to cruise. If selected, he'll do the jersey proud.

I hope I'm wrong! Poor decision made by Kemp to leave for Warriors. He would probably still be in the starting side if he didn't leave then. This is what happens in football sometimes though.

Not a bad team except for your hatred of Wallace

That's not hatred Bman.....real hatred would have seen my side with Hunt on the bench and Wallace left right out.

I strongly believe Wallace can serve Brisbane best by sitting on the bench for 3/4 of the game.

Yes, but he (and Michaels, Boyd, Moon, Stagg, Ennis, Eastwood, Civoneceva) were pushed out by the premium signing of Folau.

He could have played Origin 2009 if the cards fell his way. It didn't happen. Such is life. He's giving it one last shot, certainly not for the money, and hope he gets a run because he'll go alright.

Coach has seen enough, needs to give the rest a run.

I don't really think Boyd left because of Folau. If WB were still here Boyd would be too.

There are highlights of last weeks trial on the titans website

Thanks for the heads up. From the short amount of highlights it seems like Hoffman and gillett are getting back some of their form and prince NEEDS to be in the starting squad

Also showed why Molo and J. Wallace weren't considered. Their defence on the Falloon try was pitiful.

Does anyone know what commentary team is going to call the game. I think it will be those fools Halligan and Husband as it's a game in New Zealand but as it's on 9 they might have the alternative commentary from 9.

bring back Costigan, **** that Husband guy hes strange. at least Costigan had a stupid voice that you could laugh at and he said outlandish shit.
