Two Sidelined After Big Win

Two more Brisbane Broncos will spend time on the sidelines with injuries picked up in yesterday’s brave win over Cronulla.

Halfback Sean O’Sullivan had scans today that revealed a hamstring tendon strain which will keep him out for up to a month.

Centre Gehamat Shibasaki underwent surgery this morning on his finger to repair a compound dislocation suffered making a tackle at the start of the second half against the Sharks.

The pair join centre Jack Bird (knee) and halfback Tom Dearden (ankle) on the rehabilitation list, along with Anthony Milford who continues to work his way back from a knee injury suffered against Newcastle in Round 15.

Backrower Alex Glenn made a successful comeback against the Sharks from a knee problem, and has pulled up well post-match.

Corey Oates, Matt Gillett, Joe Ofahengaue and David Fifita are all in Queensland camp for Wednesday night’s State Of Origin decider in Sydney, and will be assessed later in the week to determine their availability for this weekend’s Broncos home clash with the Warriors.
