“This contract is more than just another season. Personally, it represents the trust that my team and fans have in me to continue contributing, both on and off the field.
“It’s also a chance for me to mentor younger players and pass on the lessons I’ve learned, hoping to inspire them the same way I was inspired when I first started.
“Being able to keep doing what I love at this level – it’s a real privilege, and I’m incredibly grateful.”
Taupau, who joined the Broncos in 2023 has relished life in the River City and has developed a strong rapport with staff, Members and fans.
Being a Bronco means so much more than just putting on the jersey; it’s about living a culture of resilience, respect, and pride.

“To me, being a Bronco is about carrying that spirit onto the field, representing the values of this club and city, and giving back to the fans who support us so passionately.
“It’s also about setting a high standard for myself and my teammates, pushing each other to be the best versions of ourselves.
“I’m proud to be part of a legacy that goes beyond the field.”
The NRL hardman, who will be a guest speaker at the NRL’s Rookie camp this weekend, credits his family as his inspiration.
“My wife and kids are my biggest supporters, and they’re a huge part of what keeps me going, both on and off the field.
“Family is everything to me and having them by my side makes every experience and achievement that much more meaningful.
2025 will see him reunite with Head Coach Michael Maguire at Red Hill after being under his coaching leadership while playing for New Zealand.
“I’m genuinely excited about this new chapter under Madge.
“His track record speaks volumes, and his commitment to excellence aligns perfectly with my personal values and our team’s goals.
“We understand that achieving success requires dedication and hard work, and we’re ready to tackle the challenges ahead.
“With Madge’s guidance, we’re confident in our ability to elevate our performance and make our fans proud.”

Not exactly the third signature we were hoping for but good nonetheless. HE was really good in the back end of the year and continues to bring desperately needed leadership.
