AUS FOOTBALL Brisbane Lions - AFL 2024 Premiers

A lot to look forward to for Brisbane teams next year. Can’t wait!

They are as good a chance as any side since Richmond really to go back to back. The side looks arguably stronger next year. The caveat of course being that overall strength being offset by the loss of Joe.

Oh man, that's his career done. He's too old to make it back from a second ACL and the worst part is, they didn't rush him either so his knee was as strong as it was going to get.

As sad as it is, he was unlikely to get many games unless injury anyway because the team is so stacked now but even so, what a sad way for it to end for him.

Gold Coast look the real deal this season, its only taken like 20 years. Of course they always run out of puff later in the season but let's see. They look impressive.

Is Brizzy that good, or are Richmond just that bad?
We’ve had some skill errors today that have lead to some Richmond goals and a better team probably would have punished us more. There’s a noticeable difference in class between the two sides though. Seems like the lions are still working out how life is without Daniher

I get the sense we really just went through the motions and are tired after a disrupted preseason and terrible conditions in the first few rounds. They knew were a class above Richmond and played to the level needed, not the level they can play at.

Brissy are very good, though this was a very incomplete performance and we have a few key players out. Richmond are very young and very inexperienced but they will be very good in a couple of years.
