Vale Cyril Connell

This man was an absolute treasure. We were SO very lucky to have him onboard. I know nothing about him personally, but have always been gob-smacked by the talent he was able to secure for this club. There were people that I thought "What does Cyril see in this mug?" that turned out to be stars. Like someone else said, even well into his 70's he was still discovering awesome younger players. Amazing.
He will be fondly remembered, i'm sure of that.

I had the pleasure of meeting the man a few years ago at a function and his reputation of being one of the nicest people you will ever talk to is definitely accurate.

Although we only spoke for a few minutes that was enough for me to establish unheralded respect and admiration for everything he has done for both the Broncos and the game of Rugby League.

R.I.P. Cyril Connell - You will be missed by many and remembered by many more.

Long Live the great Cyril Connell!!!!! Will forever be remembered by most of us on this board, as a Broncos legend.

Best signing we ever had by far, as Bennett said. Nice to see Wayne got to spend time with the great old guy just before he passed on.
Long will he be remembered at our Club.

Absolute gentleman of a man, who was so pleasant to talk to, and always had time for anyone and everyone.

His influence at our great club cannot be understated. He's as much a part of our success as Wayne, Alfie, Locky etc. and we wouldn't be where we are today without him.

A sad loss to the Broncos, to rugby league and to the earth in general.

RIP Cyril.

Cyril Connell Bridge.

The bridge will go from Lang Park, the home of rugby league in Queensland, and few have done more for the game than Cyril.

An Australian Test player, one of the best recruitment officers, a teacher, a principal, a man who has touched the lives of so many great Queenslanders.

It could not be more appropriate.

queenslander bridge; to remind us of why this call was used to insight and to those non-queenslanders. to the former lang park ground and the stars who played for other states before SoO began.

Jeb's also says "The HOW MUCH bridge". Methinks some shoddiness going on with that website.
